All of a sudden, a gigantic wave kicked up from the sea as a screen of water

appeared. The water quickly fell back into the sea the very next second, revealing an enormous octopus that was almost a hundred meters tall.

Wilbur frowned at the sight of it. "Is this the second level's test?"

Just then, a raucous peal of laughter could be heard.

"Hahahaha! We meet again, Wilbur Penn! Now that you're here, you shall stay here forever!"

"Is that..."

Wilbur was dumbfounded for a moment. His eyes widened in surprise as he looked down. Sure enough, the Shadow King's torso was melded to the bottom half of the octopus as he leered at Wilbur.

Their gazes met, and the Shadow King gritted his teeth as he spat, "I've been waiting for this day to come, Wilbur Penn! I would have never expected to die by your hand! You may have killed me the last time, but I'm going to end you here in this magical tower!"noveldrama

After his declaration, a few of the Shadow King's tentacles reached out to swipe at Wilbur. Wilbur scrambled to get out of the way, but the Shadow King moved too quickly. Wilbur had avoided the first swipe, but the tentacle curled backward and wrapped itself around his body.

The tentacle retracted quickly, yanking Wilbur toward the Shadow King. Wilbur emitted a burst of dragon aura in mid-air, which tore through the tentacle and cut it to pieces as he retreated several hundred meters backward.

"It seems like you have improved significantly since I last saw you. It's just a shame that you are still no match for me yet!"

Wilbur noticed three black shadows spreading out beneath the water as the Shadow King spoke. Following that, three enormous Shadow King-octopus hybrids popped out to attack Wilbur from the front, left, and right. All four Shadow Kings surrounded him, controlling their tentacles to reach out and grab Wilbur.

Wilbur released his dragon aura at the very last second, condensing them into white clouds. The white dragon was formed, weaving through the clouds as Wilbur leaped up and into the clouds as well. The white dragon charged out of the clouds, flying around the four octopuses and kicking up a powerful dragon aura storm that caused them to explode.

The four Shadow Kings let out cries of agony before disappearing into black miasma. By the time Wilbur scanned his surroundings again, the white vortex of light to the third level had already appeared.

Wilbur sneered. "What a weak bastard."

What Wilbur did not realize was that his drastic improvement in cultivation was what helped him take down the four Shadow Kings. With Wilbur's skill level when he had first entered the magical tower, the Shadow King would have defeated him in an instant.

Cultivating on the first level of the magical tower had improved Wilbur's powers by several levels. He withdrew his dragon aura, glancing at the peaceful sea before diving into the vortex to ascend.
