Unforgettable love

Chapter 756

Chapter 756:.

Hearing his familiar voice, Theresa rubbed her eyes. She squinted and glanced at the time. It was three o’clock midnight.

“Lola…”

“Um, did I wake you?” said Dolores softly.

Dolores pondered for a moment and said, “Armand ate here last night. Boyce and Jasmine had gotten their marriage certificate. We were all very happy, so we drank some wine. But, we didn’t know he didn’t have a driver…”

“Had an accident?” Theresa instantly felt wide awake, “How is he now?”

“I’m not sure. He looks pretty serious. Matthew and Boyce have gone to see him. I’m not feeling well, so I haven’t gone. You’d better go back and visit him. He has no relatives around him and Mrs. Bernie is his only relative and she’s very old.”

“All right,” Theresa said without hesitation.noveldrama

“Then you don’t rush either. We can handle the problem here.” reminded Dolores as if she was afraid something bad might happen if she was too anxious.

Theresa said she knew that.

After hanging up the call, Dolores couldn’t fall asleep.

She felt apprehensive as she feared something bad might happen to Armand.

Later Jessica arrived. Dolores asked her to sleep, but she told her that she could not fall asleep after being awakened and wanted to join her.

Jessica deliberately talked to her so she wouldn’t think too much about the mishap.

Dolores said, “She’s grown up.”

“Yes. I still remember the time when they were born. They were so little. In the blink of an eye, you have your third child.” Jessica lamented how fast time was passing.

Dolores smiled. Time was flying and she had never thought it would be like this.

She had her children all around her. Her husband was not only handsome, but rich.

As they chatted, time passed and it was already very late. Jessica fell asleep on the side of the bed. Dolores covered her with a thin blanket because she was afraid she would catch a cold, as the air conditioning in the room was on.

Theresa booked the earlier flight and it was Oscar who came to send her: “Why are you so urgent? It’s early in the morning. You are in such a hurry to leave and you haven’t even had breakfast.”

Theresa didn’t bring anything and was only carrying a bag, “Armand had a car accident.”

Oscar said, “Oh, I see, he’s trying to trick you to get your sympathy and hope you’ll go soft?”

Theresa shook her head, “I don’t think so. It was Lola who called me at midnight. I sense that she’s very worried too and it doesn’t sound like she’s cheating on me.”

Oscar waved his hand, “I merely said it, but you take it very seriously. Go back to taking care of him. I can fix things here. Don’t worry.”

Kevin had arrived in C-town. He was in charge of the textile factory. The clothing store business had stabilized and there were producers and designers working in the store. Business would not be affected if one person was absent for a while.

Theresa said, “Thank you, Oscar.”

During these moments spent with Oscar, she was very happy and relaxed being with him.

Oscar waved to her, “It’s almost time to get on the plane. Faster get in.”

Theresa waved back.

Theresa arrived in B-town at almost noon.

She hurried to the hospital. Armand had already been admitted to the ward. His face was pale and he was still in a coma.

Theresa stood in front of the hospital bed. She still wondered if she had done it on purpose. After all, there was nothing he didn’t do.

But now it didn’t seem that way.

“What did the doctor say?” Theresa asked.

Boyce said, “I’m not sure. The doctor said he needs to look at his situation when he wakes up.”

Theresa nodded her head.

“Then stay with him. I’ll go out first.” Boyce said.

“Boyce, you didn’t sleep well all night. Go back and get some rest. I’ll stay with him.” Theresa said.

Boyce said, “That’s okay. I’ll come by later and fill in for you to take care of him.”

Theresa replied, “Okay. Then, I may need your help for the next thing.”

Armand had caused the accident, and he could claim from the insurance company for the fees he owed the victim. Now he needed to negotiate with the victim.

Boyce said, “You don’t have to worry about this. I will settle this matter. He has many lawyers in his firm. The victim doesn’t dare extort money from you either.”

Theresa nodded her head.

Boyce closed the door on his way out.

Theresa sat in a chair next to the bed. It seemed to her that Armand had lost a lot of weight after a short time.

They hadn’t been in touch during these days.

She knew that Armand still hadn’t convinced Elizabeth.

He himself didn’t care, but Elizabeth cared very much about his affair.

He must have been upset to be in such a situation.

Theresa sighed faintly and got up to pour Armand a glass of water to rub his lips. His lips were chapped because he had been dry for so long. His hair was messy and there were blood stains that had not been cleaned up.

She held out her hand to him and whispered, “Armand, please wake up.

He must not suffer anything bad for Elizabeth and Theresa’s sake.

Armand, who was lying on the bed, did not move.

He didn’t seem to wake up either.

Boyce had not slept all night. He had dark circles under his eyes and looked quite tired.

He went back to his residence and opened the door. He was used to being the only one home.

Jasmine was in the living room when he heard the commotion.

Boyce walked in and saw her standing in the doorway, “You didn’t go to school today?”

“I don’t have class today.” Jasmine dressed neatly, “I wanted to pick you up initially.”

Boyce said, “No need. Theresa’s with him.”

“Have you had lunch?” Jasmine asked.

“No,” Boyce said.

“I’ll go cook something for you. Do you want to get some sleep first?” Jasmine could see that he looked slightly tired.

Boyce said, “I still have to go to the police station. You fix something first. I’ll take a shower so I’ll be fresh.” Jasmine was annoyed to see him looking so tired.

“Can’t you take a leave to rest at home today?” said Jasmine.

Boyce said, “No, I still have a meeting to attend this afternoon.” He pulled off his shirt collar and walked into the bathroom.

Jasmine looked at him and went to the kitchen to fix him something to eat.

Jasmine wasn’t sure if he was in a hurry to leave, so she baked some scones she had made last time and stored in the freezer.

She peeled garlic to make garlic paste and poured some balsamic vinegar into a bowl. When Boyce finished showering, he put on a nice uniform, looking smart and brave.

His appearance in the uniform was very charming. Jasmine seemed to be obsessed with his handsome appearance and only regained consciousness when Boyce approached. He was quick to say, “Wait outside. It’s almost ready.”

He set the bowls of garlic paste and balsamic vinegar on the table. Then, he removed the buns from the pot and placed them on a plate before serving them.

Boyce pulled the chair away from the table, “Eat too.”

Jasmine, who sat across from him, said, “You eat first. I’m not hungry yet.”

Boyce didn’t eat breakfast either. It was already noon and he was very hungry. He picked up a bun with a toothpick and ate it after putting the bun in the vinegar.

It was quite hot and he didn’t chew carefully before swallowing it.

Jasmine went to get a glass of water for him, “Eat slowly.”

Boyce said, “It’s delicious.”

Jasmine gave him a look as she rested her chin on her palm. She asked, “How’s Armand’s wound?”

“It’s not life-threatening,” Boyce said.

Jasmine felt like a weight had been lifted off her shoulders, “That’s good. He didn’t suffer any physical injury, did he?”

She knew that many people had suffered physical disabilities after having car accidents.

Boyce said, “No.”

Jasmine nodded her head.

After finishing the meal, Boyce drank some water and stood up as he said, “I’m leaving now.”

Jasmine walked over, “Wait a minute.” Boyce stood still and looked at her.

Jasmine walked over to him and reached out to fix the collar of his uniform, “You look good in this suit.”

“I only look good in this suit?”

Jasmine smiled, “You always look good.”

Boyce reached out to put his arm around her and hugged her as he stroked her hair. “Bye.”

Jasmine nodded her head.

When Boyce arrived at the police station, he was called by Officer Miller’s subordinates.

He entered Officer Miller’s office and saw that his desk had been cleared out.

Boyce asked, “Officer Miller, why …?”
