Chapter 601
Chapter 601:
Noah’s expression darkened, his eyes narrowing as he regarded the officer.
“What proof do you have?”
“The surveillance video captured Miss Hudson leaving the private room last,” the officer stated, carefully measuring his words. “We need Miss Hudson to come with us for further questioning.”
Not far off, Sadie overheard their conversation.
She looked at Amy, struggling to breathe, and clenched her fists.
In that moment, she made the decision.
“I’m willing to cooperate with the investigation,” Sadie declared. “Amy has been both a mentor and a friend for three years. I need to know who did this to her.”
She began to walk away, then paused, turning back to Noah.
“Don’t worry, I’ll be okay. Please look after Averi for me.”
Noah, seeing the determination in her eyes, simply nodded.
“I’ll arrange for a lawyer to follow up.”
Sadie departed with one of the officers.
Another officer stepped forward to reassure Noah, “Rest assured, Mr. Wall, we will take good care of Miss Hudson.”noveldrama
Left alone outside the ICU, Noah called out, “Samuel!”
Samuel approached immediately.
“Mr. Wall,”
“Find out what happened,” Noah commanded.
“Understood,” Samuel responded, quickly heading down the corridor.

Sadie hadn’t been in the interrogation room for long when a young female officer entered with a tray.
“Mrs. Wall, your husband sent this for you.” She placed the tray on the table.
Stunned, Sadie looked at the steaming dishes before her—shrimp puff pastries, crab cake sliders, and mango parfait—all her usual favorites.
“Did he say anything?” Sadie asked, her voice hoarse.
The officer smiled.
“He told you to eat well and not to worry. He said he’ll handle everything.”
“Everything.”
She paused, a hint of envy in her voice.
“Your husband really cares about you.”
A rush of mixed emotions swept through Sadie.
Noah? He had sent her a late-night snack.
Meanwhile, unbeknownst to Sadie, Noah was in the police station’s lounge.
“Mr. Wall, we’ve found something,” Samuel announced, breaking the silence.
“It was a waitress from Sawnard Estate who reported the incident. Mrs. Wall was there because Mr. Nigel Wall had arranged it, and Amy was invited by him too. But he left early.”
Noah’s expression darkened.
“What about the surveillance footage?”
“The manager at Sawnard Estate reported that the cameras are broken and currently being repaired. As for the waitress’s bank accounts, nothing unusual was noted, and there were no large transactions. The waitress is in the car now.”
