Bride of the Cursed Alpha (Auren and Lucien)

Rejected the alpha mate 235

Chapter 235

Bradley POV

The next few days were filled with information gathering and covert action. Tarian used his human connections to trace Morelli’s supply chain, while used the resources of the pack in order to dig deeper into the businesses Morelli was using as fronts.

Our wolves had a way of sniffing out secrets, and we weren’t about to let this one slip away.

As we got closer to the information we needed, Tarian and I set up a meeting in a small café in the hurman town. It was a nondescript place where people didn’t question the occasional shady deal. I had never liked hiding in the shadows, but sometimes it was necessary.

Tarian was already there when I arrived, sitting at a corner table with a tall man dressed in dark clothes. The man was nervous, constantly glancing over his shoulder. He was one of the workers Morelli had employed, and we had arranged to meet him to learn what he knew. Obviously, we paid a huge sum of money to him, and also arranged for him to leave the country as soon as he gave us the information.

I slid into the chair opposite him, and Tarian wasted no time. “Start talking.”

The man swallowed nervously, and after a long pause, he spoke. “I–I don’t know much, but I know about the women. I’ve seen the shipping papers. Morelli’s got his hands in everything. Bars, restaurants, clubs, and these… these adoption schemes,he stuttered. We were shaken by the truth he was revealing.

“Adoption schemes?” I was horrified. Did he buy babies and sell them?

“There’s a house. A big one. That’s where they keep them. I’ve seen them–broken women–locked away. They’re never seen again.”

I clenched my fist under the table, the fury building up inside me. This wasn’t just about bringing Morelli down. I needed to destroy everything he stood for. The bastard was so fucking vile that I felt like I needed to erase him and his spawns from the face of earth. Tarian placed a hand on my thigh when he sensed my fury. Through the mind link, he said, “Your wolf is trying to surface. I can sense it. Calm down. You can’t lose control at this moment.

“Where’s the house?” I demanded, leaning forward after calming myself. “Tell me everything you know.”

He hesitated for a moment before giving us the location. It was a small mansion on the outskirts of the town, with high walls and hidden from view. I could already see the perfect operation forming in my mind—how we would free those women and burn Morelli’s empire to the ground.

I turned to Tarian, who gave me a sharp nod. We were ready. But we had one last thing to take care of.

I called my father and explained what we had learned. He listened carefully, and once I finished, tension rose in the air. “What a horrible man?”

“What do you expect from mafia, Alpha?” Tarian sighed. “These people are the scums of society. By erasing this one bastard, we will do people a lot of favor. Give me the authority to go to his mansion alone and kill him.”

Father jerked his head back. “Tarian, you know I can’t allow that.” Then he paused. “We’re going to use the pack’s resources to help,” he continued, his gaze hardening. “I can get my wolves to track the location. But we’ll need more than just strength to bring down Morelli.”

He paused for a moment before continuing. He lowered his voice and added, “This needs to be a message. Morelli needs to know that no one is above the law. And that no one messes with us. He dared to threaten us. Time has come,he tastes his own medicine.”

I nodded. “Exactly. But we also need to free those women first. We can’t let them get lost in the system.”

Tarian added, “I’ll bring my connections into play/”

We worked in silence for hours, planning every move, making sure every piece was in place. Tarian and I split up to carry out our plans. He ruled the information–gathering, while I prepared the team for the rescue mission.

The day of the mission arrived sooner than I expected. Tarian had confirmed the location, and we had the authorities ready to move in on Morelli’s network. But we couldn’t let them know what was coming just yet. We had to keep it under wraps, making sure there was no trace of us in the operation.noveldrama

That night, I met with Tarian outside the mansion where Morelli was keeping the women. It was dark, the only light coming front the most storie seri could feel the tension in the air.

“We’re ready,” Tarian said, his voice calm but filled with an underlying urgency.

I nodded, taking one last look at the mansion before we moved in.

The rescue mission was fast and efficient. We freed the women, and as we moved them to safety, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of justice finally being served. But even as we left the mansion, I knew this wasn’t over, Morelli would retaliate. I was scared for Summer if he traced all this back to us, I was sure that he would target Summer first.

Later that night, I received the call I was expecting. Father was on the other end of the line, his voice tight with tension.

“We’ve got Morelli,” he said. “Come back and burn every trail that leads to you. Have you alerted the authorities?”

“Yes, we did that yesterday after we rescued the women. We also alerted the NGOs which help such women.” I sighed, feeling every muscle in my body screaming with tiredness. “I hope that they all go back to their homes. Most of them were bruised and injured and infected.”

“What about the babies?”

“We found five babies, which were being sold on black market. We have rescued them and all will be given back to their families as soon as the authorities finalize the proceedings.”

“Goddess! What a scumbag!” father rasped. “I’ve never seen a man so horrible in my life.”

“Neither have 1,” I replied, feeling happy that I was able to help so many people.

“Our aircraft is waiting at the airport. Ask everyone of our wolves to return immediately. I don’t want anyone to stay there. Even Tarian. He will be in deep shit if Morelli comes to know that he was behind every information.”

Tarian was with me. He chuckled as he placed his hand on my shoulder. “Stop bothering about me so much, Alpha Lucien. I am on my way to the airport with Brad.”

Father chuckled back. “Come soon. I need both my son and my Beta in front of me in two hours.

“Yes boss!” Tarian laughed.

I breathed a sigh of relief. I looked out at the stars. Another one of Morelli’s businesses was down. He was going to spend more time thinking about what went wrong and would try to find people who sabotaged it. However, he won’t be able to trace it to the wolves. He had threatened me that the police were in his pockets, that he could send hunters to kill us, that he had all the money in the world, and that he owned the humans. But with two of his empires crumbling to shambles, I wanted to hear from him. I could imagine him shaking and pissing in pants. Most of his money trails were frozen. CIA was after him. I got the report that the policemen who worked for him were getting nabbed fast.

He dared to threaten me for Summer? Well, he was going to suffer horribly. I would do anything and everything for my Summer. She was my mate. One chosen by goddess for me. No one could separate her from me.

We arrived at the Shadowfang pack by midnight. I mind–linked all the wolves and asked if they had reached safely. All of them had returned. While Tarian headed to his home, I went to the resort, to my penthouse, where I knew Summer was sleeping.

I just wanted to curl inside her and sleep. Would she allow me to come into her room? The last time I was with her was phenomenal. I wish I could taste her arousal, drink her like my personal nectar. Through my tiredness, excitement bubbled, and before I knew it, I was standing at her door, knocking lightly at the risk of waking her up.
