Bride To Be Not Me (Janice and Simon)

Chapter 236

Simon's mind began to clear, and in a moment of desperation, he grabbed Elsie by the waist, holding on tightly.

"I was wrong... Elsie, I was wrong! I lost my temper. I didn't mean it! There's been so much going on lately. I wasn't taking it out on you, I—"

"Let go!" Elsie shoved him away and stormed out.

At the Appleton residence, Arthur looked up as Elsie stormed in, her face clouded with frustration.

"What happened?" he asked.

"Dad, I made a mistake. I loved the wrong man."noveldrama

Arthur said nothing, his mind working through her words.

They sat in the living room, the silence stretching between them. Elsie gritted her teeth, barely managing to contain her growing frustration.

"Simon is nothing but a coward, a bully who targets everyone around him! I can't believe someone like him has the nerve to dream of building an empire. It's laughable!"

"So, are you still planning on staying with him?" Arthur asked.

Elsie's frustration boiled over, but she forced herself to stay calm. "I don't have a choice. My money's tied up in his company. If I walk away now, everything I've invested will go down the drain."

After a brief silence, Arthur asked again, "Have you heard the rumors about Simon's health?"

"His health?" Elsie's heart skipped a beat. For a moment, she feared Simon had contracted HIV from Amelia.

"What rumors?"

"A business associate of mine has a friend who works at a medical center for men's health. Apparently, Simon went in late last night for some tests. The results came back, and he's infertile."

Elsie's eyes widened in shock. "Infertile? Are you sure?"

"Would I mention it if I wasn't? Listen, you need to cut ties with him while you still can. After everything that's happened, it's clear he's incapable of managing anything. Looking back, Janice was probably the one doing all the work. It's a real shame."

Hearing this, Elsie felt the last of her respect for Simon crumble.

He was nothing but a worthless coward who couldn't even have children. Did he even deserve to be called a man?

...

In the past few days, Janice had been balancing her mornings

managing the crochet

her afternoons overseeing

launch of the training institute.

Thanks to Edward's help, the entire process had been sped up, cutting her workload in half.

On the phone, Edward said, "A few people will come over to help you tidy up the

storefronts. You can arrange things however you like."

Janice assumed he meant his bodyguards and agreed.

"Will you pick me up after work today?" she asked, making a rare request.

Edward responded immediately, "Of course."

"Alright, I'll let you get back to it."

The renovation company had already knocked down the walls between the three storefronts, so the work was finished quickly.

As Janice stepped outside to inspect the storefronts, she noticed several cars parked at the entrance.

"Janice!" Barbara called out.

Janice blinked in surprise. "Mrs. Moore?"

Behind Barbara were Myra, Greg, Valentina, as well as a few drivers and bodyguards.

"We came to help you clean up the place," Barbara said.

Janice stood frozen. Were these the people Edward had arranged?

"No, no. Really, I can manage on my own!" Janice quickly intervened, trying to stop them.

But they were already prepared and had brought cleaning supplies with them. The bodyguards carried the tool inside while several boxes were unloaded.

As they entered the storefront, Myra pulled out a painting from one of the boxes. "I purchased this earlier. It'sza gift for you to hang up. Consider it an early congratulations for your grand opening. And this is a set of study materials from Valentina. It's an entire collection that's no longer available on the market."
