Chapter 1756
Chapter 1756:
Harlee lingered in bed a few moments longer before finally getting up to start her day.
Upon leaving the bed, Harlee instinctively looked for Rhys and reached out to touch his side of the bed—it was cold. He must have left quite early.
“That man has incredible stamina,” Harlee muttered to herself and then shuffled off to the bathroom to freshen up.
Harlee had asked Jianna to wake her because she had planned a meetup at the studio with Tiffany and Elva. Afraid of oversleeping, she wanted to ensure she was up in time. Tiffany had a light schedule today, with only morning scenes to shoot, so they had arranged to meet at noon.
The day was spent mostly in conversation. Tiffany and Jianna did most of the talking while Harlee mostly listened, enjoying the company of her friends.
From celebrity gossip to personal stories in Baythorn, their conversation eventually shifted to their own romantic lives. It was then that Harlee learned both Fleming and Clint were progressing well in their relationships.
“When are you two going to treat me, your future sister-in-law?” Harlee asked with a raised eyebrow, her voice mingling joy with teasing.
At this, Tiffany and Elva shyly looked down. Tiffany replied, “It’s not certain yet. What future sister-in-law? Harlee, stop teasing us.”
“That’s right. We can treat you to a meal, but let’s hold off on the titles,” Tiffany added with a laugh.
The trio’s conversation grew more animated, and they spontaneously decided not to head home but instead book a room at a nearby hotel and continue their night with drinks and more talks.

However, by the time they reached the hotel around one in the morning, Tiffany and Elva were already exhausted and headed straight to their rooms to wash up and sleep.
While preparing for bed, Harlee, sipping water in the living room, noticed something odd. She peered through the peephole and spotted a dark figure loitering near their door.
The figure was burly and clad entirely in dark clothing, making it impossible to discern any features.
Elva, on her way to bed, noticed Harlee’s concerned expression and walked over quietly.
“Is something wrong outside? Should we call the police?”
Harlee turned to Elva, shook her head, and reassured her.
“No need. You and Tiffany go to sleep. I’ve got this.”
Elva grabbed Harlee’s hand, worry etched on her face.
“Harlee, could it be dangerous?”
“There’s no danger,” Harlee assured Elva, patting her hand gently. She then nudged Elva toward her room before stepping out to confront the mysterious figure.
Just as the figure was about to walk away, Harlee caught up and firmly placed a hand on his shoulder, her voice firm but quiet.
“Hey, you came all this way. Thinking of leaving without saying hello? That’s not how we do things around here!”
