Drunk and Daring I Kissed a Tycoon

Chapter 316

That evening, Osbert lingered until the students finished their self-study classes at school, but Luke still hadn't appeared. Unable to wait any longer, Osbert

explained the situation to the security guard.

After a lot of convincing, he was allowed to drive in with another security guard to search for Luke. They found him sitting on the ground, completely still. He didn't react when they called his name, and he was gripping something tightly in his hand.

The security guards were worried that he might be suffering from a mental illness, fearing he could become depressed and jump into the lake or possibly cause a disturbance on campus. They quickly summoned another guard, and together they tried to speak to him and move him away.

This handsome man, who resembled a successful figure from TV, had seemed perfectly fine when he arrived. Could he have been possessed by an evil spirit? Finally, Osbert managed to help him up.

Luke sat in the back seat, then after a while lay down, sobbing uncontrollably with tears streaming down his face as he clutched the worn time capsule. It was only today that he understood she had long since exited his life, leaving no memories behind.

Osbert calmly lowered the partition. He had witnessed Luke's tenderness and deep affection for Vespera during the years he loved her most. He had also seen Luke's indifference and deceit toward Vespera when he'd succumbed to temptation and cheated.

Now that Vespera had left him, he frequently suffered from pain and remorse, losing his sanity at times.

A few hours earlier, Vespera finally managed to disentangle herself from Luke. As their car left the school grounds and passed the osteopathy clinic, she requested Gerard to pull over.

"My car's parked here. I need to drive it out," she explained.

Gerard stopped the vehicle, and Vespera said, "Mr. Reid, Mr. Nicholson, I'll be off now."

Relieved, she got out of the car and quietly exhaled. She cautiously walked over to her own car and climbed in. Just as she shut the door, the opposite door opened, and Dominic entered.

Casually fastening his seatbelt, he said, "My car's a bit dirty, so I asked Gerard to get it cleaned. I'll ride back with you. Is that alright?"

Vespera's lips parted in mild surprise. After a brief pause, she replied, "That's fine."

Since Dominic mentioned his car was being washed, she had no choice but to take him back, even if she intended to visit her parents. Besides, he had just helped her out once more. She turned on the engine and drove off.

After driving for some time, she smiled and said, "Mr. Reid, thank you for what you did earlier."

"No problem. It was something I needed to do."

She was surprised and hesitated to reply.

Dominic folded his arms and glanced at her. "Vespera, I can see you're considering backing out of your promise. But don't worry, won't pressure you. I respect..."

"So, can we go back to how things were before..."

"Before that, let's discuss the fact that you should respect me too."

She was at a loss.

He leaned in slightly. "Aren't you supposed to be my girlfriend?"noveldrama

Vespera looked puzzled. "How can I be your girlfriend if I'm not committed?"

Dominic offered a compromise. "You can pretend to be my girlfriend. I don't care about what you truly feel inside. How about this? You don't need to be genuine about it."

Vespera kept quiet, feeling as if a heavy stone weighed down her heart, making it hard to breathe Dominic didn't press her for a quick response. Instead, he leaned back and closed his eyes to relax.

After a while, Vespera stole a glance at him as she thought, "Can a naive mermaid truly resist falling for the prince?"

Is it possible? The prince before her seemed so radiant, like the foam the mermaid eventually transformed into.

...

The car reached the residential area, and Dominic stirred awake.

Vespera spoke beside him, "My parents will return this weekend. I need to head

home. So, Mr. Reid, you can step out first..."

Dominic rotated his wrist, wincing, "My hand hurts quite a bit. Could it be fractured?"
