No matter how many years had passed, Samuel would become unbearably upset whenever Tyla was brought up in conversation. His eyes lowered as the anger in his face slowly morphed into despair.

Tessa was supposed to join them for dinner that night, so Marianne had personally prepared a table full of Tessa's favorite dishes. However, after the heated argument they had, both Tessa and Samuel skipped dinner.

Marianne exited the kitchen and looked at the dishes on the table before letting out a long, weary sigh.

Tessa was in a terrible mood when she left the Yates residence, so she decided to go straight to a bar to drink her sorrows away.

She dialed Naomi's number and asked, "Naomi, where are you? I'm in a bad mood today. Come out and drink with me."

When she heard a soft moan echo from the other end of the line, Tessa immediately knew that Naomi was "busy". She was about to cut the line, but Naomi was faster.

After hearing how Tessa was in a bad mood, Naomi swiftly regained her composure and asked in a concerned tone, "Tessa, what happened?"

"I got into an argument with my father." Tessa pursed her lips. "It's fine. I know that you're busy. I'll be okay by myself."

Naomi batted away Quentin's misbehaving hands. "Do you need me to accompany you? Where are you now? I'll head over right away."

Quentin's hands wandered across Naomi's body again as she spoke to Tessa on the phone. She shot him a mean glare before telling Tessa, "I'm going to hang up now, Tessa."

"Okay."

She glared at Quentin after disconnecting the call. "What do you think you're doing? I was talking to Tessa over the phone!"

Quentin kissed her. His voice was low and hoarse when he replied, "I'm doing you."

Sienna couldn't hold her liquor, and Naomi was busy, so Tessa tried calling Jasmine and Molly.

After hearing that Tessa was in a bad mood, Jasmine immediately volunteered to accompany her. Meanwhite, Molly had just finished dinner and was absentmindedly watching a show as she lounged on her couch. She was a fan of drinking, so she agreed to meet up when Tessa called her.

Besides, it was Saturday the next day, so they didn't have to clock in for work. They also had a good relationship with Tessa and were willing to accompany her.

The three women sat at a booth in

the bar. Six different bottles of liquor had been placed on the table in front of them. Tessa selected one at random and popped off the cap. She then proceeded to drink directly from the bottle, draining half of the alcohol inside in one go.

Jasmine watched her with wide eyes and a slack jaw. She hurriedly snatched the bottle out of Tessa's hands, exclaiming, "You shouldn't drink like that, Tessa. Relax a little. We can drink slowly. There's no rush."

She knew that Tessa's alcohol tolerance was abysmal. She could still recall with crystal clear clarity what had happened when Tessa got drunk during the gathering that the law firm associates hosted.

Molly chimed in. "That's right, Tessa. Tell us what happened that made you so unhappy."
