Tessa paused for a moment.

"But what?" Stephen asked.

"But you made me upset. I'm very angry." Tessa was wearing a severe expression on her face. "Hazel is harboring malicious intentions, so you need to fire her."

Stephen didn't hesitate before answering, "Of course, I've already fired her. I'm also going to make sure that she pays for what she did tonight."

Tessa continued coldly, "For the next half month, you're not allowed to appear before me."

"That won't do," came Stephen's immediate rejection.

His voice dropped low when he implored, "Half a month is too long. Every day that

I spend without seeing your face feels like an entire year to me."

"And how does that concern me?" Tessa replied, her expression calm.

"Change your terms."

"Not only are you rejecting my terms, but you're also trying to bargain with me?" Tessa's expression was frigid when she continued, "That's enough out of you. Go home. I want to sleep now."

"Tess..."

"Don't forget. Half a month. If you break the terms, I'll ignore you for the rest of my life."

Half a month later, Tessa was at a resort villa that belonged to Yates Corporation.

The villa was decorated such that the scenery was picturesque all year round. It was equipped with a variety of basic facilities and offered plenty of leisurely activities for visitors to partake in. As a result, the tourism industry had developed rather successfully around it.

The villa had areas that were open to the public and also areas that were restricted for private use. One such area was the bathing pool, which was reserved for Tessa's personal use.

The pool was located in an antique garden surrounded by evergreen trees. Birds chirped among the branches, while flowers bloomed and spread their floral fragrance in the air. It was a breathtaking sight.

A wooden gazebo had been constructed above the pool to shelter it from the elements. The water in the pool was crystal clear and had rose petals floating along on the surface. It provided a refreshing reprieve from the relentless heat of summer.

The water in the pool was constantly in motion. Fresh water was pumped into the pool from one end while the old water was drained out from the other end.

It was 8:00 pm at the moment. Tessa was completely naked as she soaked in the bathing pool.

Faint lights shone through the forest of green that surrounded her while the moonlight cast its gentle glow illuminating everything its silver rays touched. Tessa's skin was especially pale under the moonlight, such that it gave off the illusion that it was glímmering.

Meanwhile, Stephen strolled into the garden. He kept a leisurely pace as he maneuvered through the forest of evergreen trees before arriving at the side of the pool. He feasted his eyes upon the beautiful sight that made his heart race with

Tessa was soaking in the pool. She had tied her dark hair up into a messy bun, but a few strands had come loose, sticking to the damp skin of her neck. Only her pale shoulders and head were visible while the rest of her body was submerged beneath the waters.

Her eyes were closed as she enjoyed her soak beneath the moonlight. Melodic

music played, adding to the ambience.

Stephen stood by the pool and watched her for a long time.

Tessa suddenly opened her eyes moments later, locking gazes with him.

"Why are you here?" she asked, her brows knitting together.

She was enjoying her soak, so she was completely nude. Why did Stephen

trespass into the garden without her permission?

"The time limit of half a month is up," Stephen explained in a low and sultry voice. "I couldn't wait to see you again."

"You couldn't wait till I was done?" Tessa asked, her lips pursed.

"No, I couldn't."

Stephen loosened the knot of his bathrobe, letting it fall from his body before he descended the stairs that led into the pool, entering the water one step at a time. "What are you doing?" Tessa demanded, looking at him cautiously.

"Accompanying you for your soak."

Stephen made his way over to where Tessa was. Before she could slip away, he grabbed her and pulled her into his embrace. They were touching, skin to skin. Stephen's body was burning up, matching the fiery passion that blazed in his eyes.

Tessa couldn't help herself and let a soft whine escape from between her lips, successfully stoking the flames of desire that were raging within Stephen.
