Wilbur could sense the murderous intent coming off the liquid woman and stared at her coldly. "He wanted to kill me. I had to kill him first."

"Are you saying that you have to kill both my son and me, then?"

Wilbur knew then that the liquid woman was in far too deep to be saved. She had lost all sense of logic, and there was no point in trying to reason with her.

"There was only life on Earth because of me, as well as birth and reproduction. But what do I get in return, huh? What have you given me? I gave birth to Adam because I wanted to have children of my own, why did you have to do this to me? Why! Arghhhh!"

The liquid woman threw her head back, letting out a howl of fury. Wilbur watched her silently, his heart softening as he could see his past self in her. "Ma'am, I know it's all thanks to you that there is life on Earth. I'd like to ask you a question now, though."

"What question? If you can't soothe the pain in my chest, I'll have to kill you. I can lose Earth if it comes down to it, I don't care if it gets consumed by the darkness and becomes part of the evil gods. At least that's more meaningful than being taken advantage of by the likes of you."

Wilbur knew then that the pain in the liquid woman's heart had reached its very limit. He wanted to reply but found that he had nothing to say and could only nod. "Do you know what karma is?"

"Karma?"

"That's right. Karma."noveldrama

"I don't have time for this nonsense! I don't know what karma is. I just know that you killed my son!"

"Karma determines a person's fate. It cannot be changed by anyone, no matter how hard they try."

The liquid woman fell silent for a beat, before saying, "So, that's what fate is."

Wilbur saw that the liquid woman seemed to be moved by him and took a deep breath. "So, I'm sure you know that Adam was never meant to exist. But I'm sure that if Earth becomes a Light Dimension, Adam will appear again, and you'll have a real child of your own."

"I see."

The liquid woman stared at Wilbur. "Your words touched me, young man. But despite so, I must avenge my son. I'll give you a chance: if you can endure three moves from me, I'll admit defeat. If you can't, you'll die here."

"Alright. I'll take the three moves."

Wilbur could sense how powerful the liquid woman was, and he might not be a match for her if a real battle were to break out. Thankfully, she believed how karma determined one's fate and now all Wilbur had to do was take three moves from her and he would pass the ninth level of the magical tower.

This was his only chance in the final challenge. Wilbur knew how important this was, and he said, "Let's begin."

The liquid woman raised a hand, and shouted, "Here's my first move. Frozen Tundra!"
