Living With My Lady Boss

Wilbur looked down at the ropes that bound him and smiled slightly. Actually, he could easily break free, but he knew he needed to play along with the villagers to resolve the tension in the village. He decided to continue the act of asking for rain.

Suddenly, he heard desperate cries of children coming from the village square while he was thinking. The noise was unusual, so he quickly broke free from the ropes and rushed out of the room.

When Wilbur reached the village square, he saw a raging fire burning in the center. Amid the flames, he could hear children crying, but after a short while, their cries fell silent.

The villagers all turned around to look at Wilbur because they heard his footsteps. They looked shocked the moment they saw him.

A sobbing woman ran over and knelt before Wilbur. She sobbed and said, "Sir... Sir, please. Please seek justice for the madams."

The madams were the mothers of the boy and the girl. They were also the woman who sent food to Wilbur during the afternoon.

Wilbur looked at the woman who knelt on the ground. He asked puzzlingly, "What happened to them? Where are they?"

The woman sobbed and said, "Sir, the madams went to send some food to you during the afternoon, and they came back late. Stetson and Stan said they were unfaithful to their wifely duties, and they must have been cheating on them. Yesterday evening, Stetson and Stan tied up the madams, and beat them to death."

"What?" yelled Wilbur.

He looked shocked to hear that.

"You bitch! What are you talking about? I'm going to beat you up!"

"Argh, no!" she yelled.

"You're just a wife I bought. Die!"

The woman wanted to get up and run, but she was chased by a man from behind. The man swung his axe and cut her head off, splattering the ground with her blood.

The villagers did nothing when they saw that. It seemed like the lives of women were worthless to them. The death of women was not a big deal to them.

Stetson yelled at that moment, "This is all his fault! This cultivator tarnished the name of our village. Everyone, let's kill this evil cultivator!"

"Kill him! Kill him!" the villagers yelled angrily.

Wilbur was displeased and said coldly, "You inhumane animals. How could you harm innocent children and women?"

Suddenly, a cold breeze blew through, and a dark cloud drifted over in the sky. The sound of rumbling thunder could be heard from within the cloud continuously.

"Look! The Dragon Lord is going to bless us with rain!"

Everyone was very happy. Stetson gladly raised his axe and pointed at Wilbur. He said, "This nasty cultivator tarnished our name, so we can't allow him to leave Stream Village!"

Drip... drip...

Sounds of rain could be heard.
