Living With My Lady Boss

Chapter 2542

"Young adventurer, stepping into this space was your greatest mistake. However, considering that you freed me, I can grant you a swift death."

Wilbur frowned at the half-figure emerging from the bat creature's chest and said, "Are you a human or a bat? Are we fighting or not?"

"Heh," the black figure chuckled and said, "I can sense some benevolent emotions within you. It seems you are a person full of justice. Unfortunately, the killings in the middle and upper dimensions have numbed people of injustice. A person with a sense of justice has no place in the middle dimensions. Thus, this battle is destined for your defeat. But before the fight begins, there's something I must do first!"

With that, the black figure raised its hands and chanted strange incantations. Simultaneously, a black vortex formed in the dark clouds above, and a dense black mist descended, enveloping the bat creature. As the chanting quickened, the black mist spread rapidly.

Wilbur leaped back onto the roof of a two-story building, looking down at the bat creature with a sense of foreboding. He frowned and asked, "What exactly are you trying to do?"

In the next second, the black mist condensed and spun into a black storm, rapidly expanding. Within seconds, the storm engulfed all the buildings in the market. As the storm grew, buildings were destroyed, some were even uprooted and spun within the storm.

Seeing this, Wilbur was shocked and cursed, "You bastard! Your fight is with me. The town's people have nothing to do with us."

Wilbur flew into the storm, and four black figures appeared, attacking him simultaneously. Meanwhile, the bat creature's cold voice echoed, "There are no innocent people in this world. Everyone deserves to die!"

Amid the storm, the cries of adults and the sobs of children could be heard, but the storm continued to rage on. Although Wilbur managed to fend off the black figures, they remained hidden in the storm, reappearing whenever he advanced, trapping him in a dilemma. After a while, the cries within the storm ceased as Wilbur killed two black figures, and the storm finally began to subside.

Looking at the devastated market filled with corpses, Wilbur was furious. He glared at the bat creature and gritted his teeth, "Why did you do this? They didn't have to die. It's all because of you. You killed them."

The bat creature said, "It's finally done. I know you hate me. But I have no more answers for you. If you insist on one, I can only tell you that you will die just like them."

With that, a special black magic circle appeared on the ground of the entire market.

"This..."

As Wilbur hesitated, a powerful presence emerged behind him. He dodged swiftly, and the bat person's black sword struck, missing its target. The bat person chuckled, "It's been a long time since I played such games. It seems I've slowed down, but I believe if I focus, I'll eventually pierce your heart."

The bat person stared at Wilbur. In the next second, he disappeared and reappeared on Wilbur's left, thrusting his sword. Wilbur dodged the attack again. The two figures continuously flashed, with the bat person always appearing behind Wilbur but never finding an opportunity to strike. After dodging numerous times, Wilbur leaped into the air and looked down at the bat person, saying, "The game ends here. Now, it's my turn."noveldrama

As soon as he finished speaking, Wilbur released a powerful dragon aura. Within its range, he could sense the enemy's presence. Earlier, Wilbur held back to test the bat person's strength. Now that he knew, he did not need to hold back anymore.

Wilbur looked at the bat person and said, "You are indeed strong, surpassing most cultivators at the Emperor level. Unfortunately, you are still not qualified to fight me."

"Is that so? Then what must I do to be qualified to fight you?"
