With the goal of population control in mind, there was a strict system set in place for the people in the towns of the middle dimensions. This was why most people who were sent to the middle dimensions usually ended up in Buck Town or the two other bloodthirsty main towns.

Out of the cultivators who had landed here, there had been a dozen or so upper- dimension elites who had faced a massacre here. Some upper-dimension elites thought they would be able to return to the middle dimensions to prove their strength, only to learn the hard way that they should never, ever enter the main towns.

There were a few mysterious elites stationed throughout the main towns to keep the peace and maintain the reputation there. Thus, even upper-dimension elites ran the risk of getting killed if they acted out of line in the main towns.

Nightless Elder repeated several times in his letter to Wilbur that the reason why he had been able to survive an attack from the white dragon was because the goal of this test had been to rid Wilbur of the bloodlust in his heart. The Eternal Sunshine Dimension had made the adjustments accordingly, and the white dragon was eventually able to destroy only Wilbur's bloodlust, which was actually what made it possible for the Dark Lord to control Wilbur's body.

Wilbur's bloodlust was like a string that the Dark Lord had used to take over Wilbur's body. If it was gone, the Dark Lord would not be able to control Wilbur at all.

Wilbur let out a long breath upon reading the letter. He had thought that the Dark Lord had been controlling his body against his will because the Dark Lord had been growing more powerful, only for the real cause of everything to be his own bloodlust.

Wilbur had been filled with nothing but goodwill and kind thoughts when he had ended his life in the Mountain God Temple, effectively letting go of his bloodlust. That was what the white dragon had sent flying out of his body, eventually dissolving into black miasma.

In Nightless Elder's letter to Wilbur, Wilbur was told that one's bloodlust could grow anywhere. The only way to stop those evil thoughts from taking over was to let them go, eventually getting them out of one's mind completely.

Wilbur leaped into the air after reading the letter, flying toward where Nightless Elder was. Nightless Elder's aura was strong enough to be detected from any position in the Eternal Sunshine Dimension, and it was not long before Wilbur reached him.

Nightless Elder was still sitting cross-legged on the stone podium, his eyes closed as he rested. Wilbur landed on one knee, bowing to him. "Wilbur Penn at your service, Nightless Elder."

The Nightless Elder opened his eyes. "I take it that you've read my letter and finally understand a lot more now?"

"Yes, Nightless Elder. I understand many things better now, and I thank you for your help all this time."

"You're welcome. The Eternal Sunshine Dimension is actually a portal to the middle dimensions. I'll give you three months to finish any business you need to get done. You can come here after that, and I'll send you to the middle dimensions."

"Thank you, Nightless Elder."

Wilbur's surroundings disappeared the next second, turning into blue seawater as the island rose to the surface. Nightless Elder took out the ninth piece of the dragon cauldron fragment as he said, "Take this. You've earned it."
