Lost and Found: Return of My Mysterious Fiancee

Chapter 921: You Won’t Get a Second Chance to Hurt Me

Mia's eyes bulged wide, as though they might pop out of their sockets. Her face flushed a deep, liver-red color. Tina had her pinned against the wall, her hands squeezing tightly around Mia's throat. Her body was lifted off the ground, pressed flat against the cold surface. The next moment seemed inevitable-Mia would suffocate to death. Fear washed over Boris's face. His voice trembled with a shrill cry. "Tina, are you insane? Are you trying to kill your Grand Aunt?"

He rushed toward Tina in panic, attempting to pry her hands off Mia's neck. But when Tina cast him a sharp, deadly glare, his knees turned to jelly. He froze in place, standing stiffly like a lifeless statue, his hand trembling as he pointed at her. "If you kill Grand Aunt, I swear I'll call the police and have you arrested! Tina, you've completely lost it. You're crazy-insane!"

Watching Tina being bullied by Mia earlier, Boris had felt a twisted sense of satisfaction. Seeing the injuries on her face had been the highlight of his recent days. A surge of glee had coursed through his veins. But now, witnessing Tina's terrifying rage, Boris's legs buckled in pure terror.

Mia clawed desperately at Tina's hands, her face contorted into a grotesque expression of pain. Her feet kicked frantically in the air as she struggled to breathe, unable to utter a single word.

Tina's gaze was as cold as ice. Her voice cut through like a blade. "Mia, this was your last chance to hurt me. There won't be a second."

With that, Tina released her grip. Mia's body crumpled like a withered leaf, sliding down the wall before collapsing onto the floor.

Mia lay sprawled on the ground, her face ashen, coughing violently. Her eyes burned with hatred as she glared at Tina. "Tina... I... I'll have my brother... cough cough... throw you out of the Pace family!"

"And who exactly are you planning to throw out of the Pace family?" A commanding voice rang out from behind, each word sharp and deliberate.

Warren appeared, leaning heavily on his cane, his steps measured and slow.

The moment Mia saw Warren, tears filled her aged eyes. She looked utterly pitiful as she sat on the floor and began wailing uncontrollably. "Brother! Your granddaughter just tried to strangle me to death! She's determined to kill me! You have to make sure she doesn't stay in the Pace family any longer. Throw her out right now!"

"If she stays, I leave! It's either her or me!"

Warren's expression darkened, his gaze heavy as he looked down at Mia. "And what else do you want me to do?"

Tina stood calmly, her face unreadable, unshaken by the outburst.

Mia wiped her tears with trembling hands, her voice filled with venom. "From now on, the Pace family will no longer acknowledge Tina as your granddaughter. Her mother, Alina, can stay, but she absolutely cannot! Tina will never set foot in the Pace family's home again!"

Boris stepped forward, eagerly adding fuel to the fire. "Dad, Aunt Mia is telling the truth! Tina really did try to kill her. I tried to stop her, but she ignored me completely!"

"Someone like her can't stay in the family! Who knows what she'll do to the rest of us in the future?"

"Dad, I agree with Aunt Mia. You have to kick Tina out!"

Boris's face was flushed with excitement, though he tried to appear earnest and serious. Deep down, he could barely contain his glee. Tina's days in the Pace family were numbered, and he couldn't wait to make Alina suffer once Tina was gone. He had plans-cruel ones-and he would see them through.noveldrama

"You're thinking of kicking out who exactly?" A furious roar shattered the tense atmosphere. Ruud stormed into the room, his face contorted with rage.

In one swift motion, he grabbed Boris by the neck, lifting him off the ground. His eyes burned with fury, like flames ready to devour everything in their path. "Say it again. Who are you planning to kick out?!"

Boris hadn't expected Ruud to show up, let alone with such force. The veins on his neck bulged as he gasped for air, his body trembling uncontrollably. Tears of fear welled up in his eyes. "Dad... Dad... please help me!" His voice broke, and he nearly lost control of his bladder.

Warren closed his eyes and let out a deep sigh. His voice was firm and authoritative. "Ruud, put your brother down."

Ruud hesitated for a moment, his body tense with anger. But Warren's tone left no room for argument. With a huff of frustration, Ruud released Boris, who crumpled to the floor.

Before Boris could even catch his breath, Warren's cane came down hard on his back. The blow sent a jolt of pain through his entire body, his face contorted in agony as cold sweat broke out on his skin.

"You fool!" Warren bellowed. "This discussion doesn't concern you. Get out of my sight and go back to your room!"

Humiliated and seething, Boris staggered to his feet, his lips pale and trembling. He shot Tina a resentful glare before limping out of the Pace family's grand hall.

The room fell silent, leaving only Tina and Mia behind. Mia's eyes were filled with despair as she looked up at her brother. Her voice was hoarse and heavy with emotion. "Brother, are you really not going to take my side? Does our bond of so many years mean less to you than the short time you've spent with Tina?"

Warren's expression was clouded, but his tone was resolute. "Mia, I may not have known Tina for long, but I know she's not someone who acts without reason."

He turned to Tina, his sharp eyes taking in the bruises and cuts on her face. His heart clenched painfully. "Tina, what happened to you? How did you get these injuries?"

From the moment he entered, Warren had been unable to ignore the marks on Tina's body. As her grandfather, he had never laid a hand on her, not even in anger. Yet Mia, her so-called Grand Aunt, had dared to harm her.

Ruud's eyes burned with rage as he examined Tina's battered appearance. Her soaked clothes and the wounds on her face were like daggers piercing his heart. Gently, he tried to turn her toward him to inspect the damage, but Tina pulled away, turning her head to avoid his touch.

The rejection struck Ruud like a physical blow. His chest tightened painfully, as though his heart had been crushed. His gaze turned cold and sharp, brimming with an uncontrollable fury. He grabbed Mia by the collar and roared, "How dare you lay a hand on my daughter? I've never so much as touched a single hair on her head, and you think you can scar her face?!"

Mia flinched but quickly recovered her usual arrogance. Her voice dripped with disdain. "If you, as her father, won't discipline her, then it's my duty as her Grand Aunt to teach her a lesson!"

Ruud's grip tightened, and he spat through gritted teeth, "You're full of nonsense! My daughter is perfectly fine-there's nothing about her that needs your so-called lessons! You're nothing but a useless old hag, living just to make others miserable!"

Mia's lips turned purple as she gasped for air, slapping the ground in desperation. "Ruud, you've gone too far! Cursing me like this-did our brother teach you such disrespect?!"

A pair of gentle but firm hands stopped Ruud. Alina's calm and resolute gaze met his. She silently urged him to let go, to regain his composure.
