Chapter 478 It's All Because of You, Stellan
At this moment, Stellan felt like she had slept for a very long time. As she started to regain some consciousness, she felt dizzy and groggy.
As she faintly heard the sound of water near her ear, she struggled to open her eyes, then she saw a small, empty, and damp shack in front of her.
Following the direction of the water sound, she slowly looked over and saw Tommy with his back to her, washing his face at the sink with the faucet running.
"Where is this?" Realizing something was wrong, Stellan hurriedly sat up from the bed. Wasn't she supposed to discuss the construction site with Tommy? She remembered feeling very sleepy shortly after getting into the car and then falling asleep. Where was this? This was clearly not a government office.
"Stellan, you're awake?"
For a moment, Stellan felt disoriented. Wasn't the person in front of her Tommy? Why did it sound like Ambrose?
After washing his face, he casually grabbed a towel and turned around, walking towards Stellan while drying his face.
It really was Ambrose! What was going on? It felt like a magic trick. Wasn't she with Tommy, but how did it turn into Ambrose?
"Surprised?" Ambrose was now standing close to her, looking down at her from the bedside.
"When you came to Far East International today, the first person you saw was me. You were even fooled by this disguise technique."
Last night, after putting on the makeup, even he was confused when he looked in the mirror. It was like he had a completely different face, and given that he and Tommy were about the same height and build, it was easy to confuse people.
"Don't look so terrified, Stellän. You know I won't hurt you." As Ambrose spoke, he reached out to touch her face, but Stellan quickly dodged.
"Despicable!" Stellan cursed fiercely.
Ambrose naturally anticipated such a reaction from her. He withdrew his hand and then stepped away, moving to a distance that seemed relatively safe to Stellan.
Seeing him step back, Stellan jumped off the bed to run, but found that the door wouldn't open at all.
Ambrose said, "Don't waste your energy. You can't get out. Even if you escape this room, you still can't get away as we're on an island surrounded by water."
Stellan thought, 'Where had me been taken?'
Ambrose explained, "We're already out of Arizona, and we're at least 60 miles away from Arizona. No one can find this place."
Stellan asked, "Why did you kidnap me?"
"This isn't a kidnapping; I simply want to take you away," Ambrose said, observing her bewildered expression. He chuckled and then asked, "Did Alaric not tell you that it was I who killed Todd, and that Neil has already secured the evidence?"

"It wasn't just Todd's case; I was also responsible for Orion's car accident and the incident at Nexus Innovations' jewelry company site. Given the multitude of crimes I've committed, being caught would be a death sentence for me. That's why I need to flee." Stellan asked in belief, "You are even related to Orion's car accident!"
What had Stellan just heard? Ambrose was involved in Orion's car accident too?
"Looks like Alaric really doesn't tell you anything." Seeing Stellan's reaction, Ambrose knew she was clueless. He shrugged with a smile and continued, "Is he afraid of scaring you, or does he not trust you at all?"
"What does Orion's car accident have to do with you?" Stellan was truly shocked. "Surprising, right? I didn't even know Orion, and we had no grudges. Why would I want her dead? It doesn't make sense, right?" Ambrose's emotions became agitated as he spoke. He suddenly approached Stellan, trapping her in a corner. "Because of you!" Stellan didn't want to look into his eyes, but at such a close distance, she had no choice. She noticed that his eyes were filled with blood-red hatred.
Hearing this answer, Stellan's mind was about to explode. "Did Alaric ever tell you about your car accident? It wasn't an accident at all; it was Griffon's doing." Ambrose said fiercely. "He wanted Orion to rise to power and cover up his crimes, so he tried to kill you to silence you!"
Ambrose continued, "And Alaric was deceived by Griffon for so long. When Alaric finally found out, he sent Griffon to prison. Griffon deserved to die, so what kind of punishment was that?"
"He nearly took your life; the punishment he received was far too lenient. I believed that only Orion's death would truly serve as retribution for Griffon. Therefore, I orchestrated a car accident for Orion in the same manner, but never anticipated the outcome."
"That night, Orion and Ravenna both died. Isn't that fate? That's the greatest punishment for those who hurt you, isn't it? Now Griffon is dead too. Doesn't this outcome feel satisfying?"
Then Ambrose started to laugh with great pleasure, but to Stellan, his laughter was truly horrifying.
She had never thought that Orion's death would have anything to do with her, but she never expected that Ambrose's motive for killing was because of her!
"Enough!" Stellan shoved Ambrose away and slapped him hard across the face. "If someone truly deserves to die for their crimes, the law will take care of them. It's not your place to punish them. All these high-sounding reasons are nothing but excuses to satisfy your twisted mind!"
Ambrose touched the cheek she had slapped and then sneered coldly. "Stellan, you and Alaric both believe in justice, clearly dividing people into good and evil. You're the good guys, and I'm classified as a pervert by you."
Ambrose added, "OK, I don't care what others say, but I can't allow you to say that about me because I love you, Stellan. You're the only person I've ever loved."
Saying this, Ambrose tightly gripped Stellan's arm, forcing her to look at him, while Stellan struggled fiercely.
Atellan shouted, "Ambrose, get away from me, you pervert!"
Unable to break free, Stellan lowered her head and bit his arm hard. Ambrose didn't dodge and let her bite for a long time. Then he directly picked Stellan up, placed her on the bed, and quickly tied her hands and feet.
Stellan's desperate resistance was futile. After all, the strength difference between men and women was significant. In the end, Ambrose even taped her mouth shut.
"I'm sorry, Stellan. You're too emotional." After tying her up, Ambrose looked at her apologetically and explained, "Please Calm down and listen to me finish. Once I'm done, I'll untie you."noveldrama
