Chapter 1970
Viola said, "It seems you've already made your decision."
Vivian took a deep breath.
Viola smiled gently and, without waiting for Vivian to respond, vanished immediately.
Staring at the space before her, Vivian felt a momentary sense of disorientation.
Suddenly, she wasn't sure if what she had just seen was really Viola. Or if it was just a product of her thoughts, a dream born from the day's worries, blurring the lines between reality and imagination.
As she struggled to separate reality from dream, her attention was drawn to the faint glow coming from the bundle on the table. She quickly got out of bed and walked over to it.
When the bundle was opened, a faint glow started emanating from the copper mirror inside. Without the fabric to shield it, the light from the copper mirror became almost blinding.
She squinted her eyes. "What's going on with the copper mirror?"
She reached out and touched the surface of the copper mirror. To her surprise, the mirror felt warm to the touch.
But the warmth was fleeting, and within moments, it returned to its usual coolness. As she remained filled with doubt, she suddenly saw two figures in the copper mirror. It was her parents, the ones she had missed so much.
"Dad, Mom!" She clutched the copper mirror tightly, speaking in a rush.
The two figures in the copper mirror were sleeping. Her parents had always had a deep, loving bond, and even while asleep, her father would hold her mother close. Seeing them, tears streamed down her face. "Mom, Dad, I'll be seeing you soon." The two people who had been sound asleep seemed to have heard her voice. First, Skylar woke up, her eyes barely open as she glanced around the room.
Then, Joe stirred, also looking around, trying to make sense of the unfamiliar surroundings.
The night was still dark, and the room was dimly lit, making it hard for them to see anything.
"Did you hear that? I think I heard Vivian calling us," Skylar asked Joe.
"I heard it too," Joe replied.
It had been years since they last heard Vivian's voice.
Vivian could see them in the copper mirror, but she couldn't hear them speak.
Desperate, she called out again, "Mom, Dad, it's me, Vivian, your daughter. I'm coming to find you."
"Vivian?" Skylar quickly got out of bed.
She looked around, scanning the room. She had heard it clearly.
Joe also got up quickly. "Did Vivian speak again?"
He didn't hear anything, but seeing Skylar's reaction, he knew that Vivian must have spoken.
Vivian realized that Skylar could hear her and was looking for her, so she quickly spoke to the copper mirror again, "Mom, it's me. I'll be in Graystone soon!"
But the moment she said the word "Mom", their figures in the copper mirror vanished, and her last words seemed to have not gone through.
As the figures of her parents disappeared, the light in the copper mirror faded, returning to its usual state.
She sat down, her heart racing with excitement.

Skylar, bursting with emotion,
hugged Joe tightly. "I heard Vivian's
voice just now! She said she's
coming to find us. My intuition was right. Vivian is on her way.
Joe, equally excited, kissed Skylar. "Let's stay in Graystone and wait for her to
find us."
