My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul

Chapter 2010

Vivian said, "I need you to take me out of Everholm."

Leaving Everholm was her only chance to escape Sterling's watchful eye.

Right now, her only option was to leave Everholm and escape Sterling's sight. She would return when the time was right.

Sterling sneered. "So you planned this all along. I underestimated you!"

Sterling wondered if she truly believed that leaving Everholm meant she could escape him.

Vivian said, "I know what you're thinking-that no matter where I go, you'll find me. But I'd advise you to reconsider. That negative item clings to you. If you come near me again or send someone after me, I'll make sure you suffer another backlash.

"The master must have told you that the negative item is bound to you permanently. As long as you send me away from Everholm, it won't affect you anymore."

Sterling's ruthless nature urged him to strike her down. He never hesitated when it came to killing. But now? He couldn't act on impulse. His eyes darkened as he stared at her.

"You feel it now, don't you?" Vivian continued. "Every nerve is screaming in pain. You have bigger ambitions, Mr. Bowman. Don't waste your time on me—or your life, for that matter."

His jaw clenched. "You're clever. Fine. Once you're out of Everholm, I won't pursue you. But you are never to return to Everholm."

Vivian offered him a faint smile. "Deal."noveldrama

The carriage soon passed through Everholm's gates.

When it came to a stop, Vivian pulled a talisman from her sleeve and handed it to Sterling. "Keep this on you. It'll ease the backlash immediately."

Sterling never thought he would end up in such a pathetic state. He snatched the talisman and pressed it to his chest. Relief washed over him, the agony that had nearly

broken him easing at once.

He studied Vivian as she lifted the carriage curtain, her sharp gaze scanning their surroundings.

Before he could entertain thoughts

of breaking his word, she spoke, ber

tone cold. "Forget already, Mr.

Bowman? If I die, my mentor will make sure your suffering never ends."

Sterling bit down hard, tasting blood. "You really thought this through, didn't you?"

"Tell your coachman to unhitch the carriage," Vivian said sharply. "I'll take a horse."

Sterling gave the order.

As they prepared to part, a familiar voice rang out. "Sterling, you dare lay a hand on my people?"

Sterling's face darkened, while excitement flared in Vivian's eyes. Without hesitation, she jumped from the carriage. "Manfred!"

The moment Manfred saw her, the icy glint in his eyes softened. "Come here."

Vivian ran straight into his arms.

Sterling stared at Manfred in

disbelief. You knew all along, didn't you? So, all these years, you've been playing me for a fool? I was nothing more than a pawn in your grand

scheme?"

It was finally clear. He had believed himself the mastermind, but he was the one outmaneuvered.

Manfred had been playing the fool while hiding his true strength all along.

Manfred's gaze flickered slightly. Then, he caught Vivian winking at him.
