National Forensic Doctor

Chapter 1291 - 1217 Reunion

Chapter 1291: Chapter 1217 Reunion

"Mr. Alessio, the board members have come out."

The secretary from Yibenli’s own country, wearing high heels, spoke softly into Alessio’s ear.

Alessio took off his earphones, calmed himself, and smiled, "Okay, thank you."

"You’re welcome," the secretary said as she seemed to shake hands with Alessio, slipping a small piece of paper into his hand.

It took Alessio only 0.01 seconds to react, skillfully pocketing the note, then giving the secretary a charming smile.

Their eyes met briefly before a few senior board members walked out of the meeting room.

Alessio waited quietly.

The remuneration offered by Avi Airlines was exceptionally generous, so as long as they needed, he didn’t mind continuing to provide services. As for which of his services they’d utilize and how they chose to apply them, it didn’t matter much to Alessio.

Board member Stefano walked up to Alessio, nodding to him, "You’ll have to trouble yourself to meet with the Chinese personnel with Matina."

"Alright." Alessio didn’t even ask what for.

Stefano offered no explanations, wearily saying a few more words to those behind him.

Soon, a voluptuous beauty, perfectly fitting male visual preferences, emerged from the group, greeted Alessio, and said, "I’m Matina from the PR department. Let’s go meet the Chinese personnel now."

Alessio felt he had guessed Avi Airline’s intentions, nodded, and said as they walked, "I have no issue, but if you intend to alter the autopsy report or anything, it might be quite challenging."

"If it can be modified, it would naturally be best," Matina’s voice was gentle, yet she asked, "But why do you think it’s difficult, even after observing Avi Airline’s attitude?" noveldrama

When mentioning the attitude, Matina pointed to herself.

Alessio understood and agreed that if it were him, having someone send such a beautiful woman, he might indeed betray the body.

Recalling seeing Jiang Yuan that day, Alessio added, "You must have met Jiang Yuan, right, the forensic expert who wrote the autopsy report? He didn’t agree beforehand; now trying to amend it will naturally be even more difficult."

"That simple? If that’s all there is to it, the forensic doctor seems a bit dull." Matina’s sultry voice ignited a tumult in Alessio’s heart.

Alessio’s emotions flared, "A forensic autopsy report is logical; conclusions are derived from preceding findings. To modify conclusions means you need a holistic revision, so it should have been dealt with before checking the report. Now, aiming to alter the autopsy report presents considerable challenges."

Matina smiled without arguing, feeling that resolving issues didn’t have to happen only through modifications or that changes couldn’t be made.

The two took a car to the Zhengguang Sub-bureau and were guided into a meeting room where they waited for a while before several Chinese personnel arrived.

Matina immediately noticed a very tall man trailing behind and turned to Alessio for confirmation, seeing him looking at the man with a gleam in his eyes.

Matina frowned slightly, leaned towards Alessio’s ear, and asked, "Are you bisexual?"

"No," Alessio was a bit surprised.

"Then you’re homosexual?"

"No," Alessio shook his head as he spoke, his ear brushing against Matina’s lips, his heart fluttering.

Matina hummed nasally, stood up close to Alessio, but her coquettish eyes turned to Jiang Yuan.

Jiang Yuan sat opposite them, glanced at Alessio he had seen before, and directly spoke in French, "You wanted to see me?"

"Yes, Forensic Expert Jiang Yuan, we represent Avi Airlines and would like to discuss the autopsy report with you again," Matina quickly responded, her French pronunciation and wording tending towards an arousing tone.

Jiang Yuan, however, with his post-level 4 French, merely listened briefly and said casually, "Sure, what questions do you have?"

Noticing Jiang Yuan’s tone, Matina realized her efforts had not worked, frowning as she thought to herself, This doesn’t match the intelligence; could this guy also not like women—what’s wrong with this terrible world...?

"Alessio, forensic doctor, you explain," Matina looked at Alessio in disappointment.

This man was a bit older, but he still had a flair of that Italian bad-boy attractiveness, and if he caught the eye, he should be able to seduce the Chinese on the other side.

Alessio sat upright and said, "It’s not a problem; I just have some things I don’t understand which I’d like to ask..."

French, being one of the most rigorous languages globally, was spoken by Alessio very clearly.

Upon hearing this, Matina’s eyes brightened, thinking to herself, Men truly understand the hearts of men; such words of admiration spoken, how could anyone not take the bait?

Sure enough, a hint of confrontational demeanor faded from Jiang Yuan’s eyes, and his tone softened, "Speak."

"Was it upon seeing the burns on the body that you suspected high-temperature gas?" Alessio, indeed having many queries, asked right away.

"It was confirmed upon dissection," Jiang Yuan slightly shook his head.

Alessio was astonished, this differed entirely from what he had thought, "If it wasn’t initially determined, then why even check the damaged trachea?"

"I followed through the sequence and upon seeing the damaged trachea, took samples and found signs of swelling and burns, and continued dissecting from there," Jiang Yuan spoke straightforwardly.

Alessio immediately understood; he had overcomplicated things, thinking Jiang Yuan had some preconceptions and then meticulously searched for the trachea.

Soon after, Alessio furrowed his brow in realization. Given how straightforward it was to find the trachea, it’s actually quite outrageous.

His initial imagination was akin to warfare, assuming Jiang Yuan had performed extensive planning and reconnaissance, mobilizing various resources, ultimately orchestrating a decisive strike at a particular location, achieving victory due to accurate pre-assessment and brilliant planning.

Yet listening to Jiang Yuan now, it felt as if Jiang Yuan made no prior intricate analyses, simply leading his troops on a straightforward push, engaging the enemy’s elite in the first battle, claiming victory, and then following through to a grand triumph.

Matina didn’t know why Alessio suddenly fell into contemplation, but she knew her task wasn’t to genuinely let the two discuss academic issues.

Seizing the lull, Matina whispered, "Mr. Jiang Yuan, could we invite you to dinner tonight? We have prepared some small gifts as well."

"No need, I’m already busy today," Jiang Yuan stated honestly. The crashed body’s been over 24 hours, and conducting an autopsy only takes a few minutes, while breaking a case with Jiang Yuan’s Accumulated Case Team isn’t something that necessarily takes 24 hours. Being at Zhengguang Bureau, Tao Lu wouldn’t possibly leave him idle.

It’s like a genteel person in a brothel; you claim to only perform and not sell, a client claims to be decent, but once seated together and having drinks, how could a paying patron change to a gentler taste?

Matina was slightly anxious, pulling on Alessio, saying, "Alessio and I can both come, together if needed."

Alessio was stunned, quickly taking a sip of water, opting not to refute.

Jiang Yuan chuckled, stood up, and said, "If there’s nothing else, I’ll head back now."

"Mr. Jiang Yuan, should you refuse, the board will find others..." Matina grabbed Jiang Yuan’s hand, speaking while gently squeezing.

Jiang Yuan resolutely pulled his hand away and left the room.

The next morning.

Jiang Yuan met Matina again.

This time, on the stainless steel autopsy bed in the dissection room.
