Chapter 108
Chapter 108:
Night had fallen.
Little Pete was reading at the big desk. Hearing what Justin said, he looked up from the book quietly and looked at the bottles. He stretched out his arms, opened the bottles and glanced at them a couple of times. Then, he said, “I’m not taking them.”
Justin replied, “…These vitamins are nutritional supplements. You have to take them.”
Pete was silent for a moment before asking, “Can they increase brain capacity?”
“…Probably?”
As soon as he said that, Pete shoved the bottles at him and said, “Then you’ll need them badly.”
Justin, “…”
His expression instantly darkened and he said sarcastically, “Peter! Hunt! I have an IQ of 301!”
301 was the highest IQ among humans so far!
Only he was a discreet person who never behaved ostentatiously. Nor had he ever announced the test results in public.
However, Pete looked at him with disdain and said, “It is said that people with a high IQ have a low IQ. That’s right, you’re really stupid. It’s been so long, and you still haven’t won Mom over.”
They were supposed to meet today, but he had upset Mom again.
My goodness!noveldrama
Poor tyrant.
She pushed the two bottles of vitamins toward Justin again and said, “Remember to take them every day. They can increase your brain power and IQ.”
“…”
Justin walked out of Pete’s room with a sullen gesture. The man, who had always been shrewd and unreadable, often found himself so exasperated by Pete that his chest even ached.
He couldn’t help but think of the little girl Miss Smith had brought in today….
To be honest, before he met Cherry, he had taken a certain dislike to her.
He couldn’t help but feel a little uncomfortable every time he thought about her being a child the woman had with an idiot. He had thought that even if he accepted Nora, he wouldn’t be able to accept a daughter she had with another man.
But for some reason, even though the little girl had been painted to look like a clown, her voice was so young and tender. She sounded just like her son during his occasional bouts of abnormality.
Did all children add a ‘yes’ to the end of their sentences?
Then, he thought of the incessant stream of praise that had come from her red and white painted mouth. The things she said-that he was ‘even more handsome than Prince Charming’ and that his ‘good looks were out of this world’-were clearly very explicit, but they sounded so good when she was the one saying them.
After that, the little girl even took his hand naturally.
Children were soft and tender. He wanted to push her away, but what he did instead was to hug her gently, for fear of accidentally breaking her hand if he was too forceful….
After comparing them like that, it seemed that a daughter was more adorable after all.
For some inexplicable reason, he was beginning to miss how Pete had behaved during his relapses.
Justin thought he must be crazy. Otherwise, why else would he think it would be a good thing for his son to turn back into a girl?
His gaze rested on the two bottles of ‘vitamins’ he had brought with him. In the end, she actually opened the bottles and took a couple of pills.
She lay down nonchalantly after taking the pills. Then, he realized that he had missed Sweetie’s live broadcast today.
Come to think of it, there were some who addressed Sweetcherry as Cherry, too. It was actually the same name as the little girl who had come on today?
Why was she thinking of that little girl again?
It was a girl Nora had had with another man, why was he worrying and missing her so much?
Justin thought he hadn’t taken enough medication.
He suppressed his irritability. When he glanced at his cell phone, he accidentally opened his Facebook account and saw that Chester had posted a photo of the meeting that afternoon. The photo was captioned “Happy Birthday Justin, do you like my present?”.
‘Gift’…
Why was he talking about presents again?
Justin coughed-he’d suddenly come up with a way to remind Nora about the gift!
He got up, went into the storeroom and took random pictures of some things from his own collection. The man, who suffered from mild obsessive-compulsive disorder, organized the photos into a nine-box collage. He then wrote, “Thank you all for today’s gifts.”
He then set the privacy level of the post so that it was only visible to Nora.
After posting the photo, he tossed the cell phone aside. The man, who had originally decided not to work that afternoon so he could spend time with his son, couldn’t help but grab his laptop and use work to distract himself.
A minute later, he picked up his cell phone and looked at it.
There were no notifications.
Figuring he wouldn’t get a response that quickly anyway, he hung up the cell phone.
Besides, why was he so nervous? He just wanted to give Miss Smith a reminder and another chance to send her birthday present for him, that was all.
For example, she could leave a comment saying, “Oops, I forgot to pass on your gift.”
Then, he would reply, “That’s OK, I’m on a business trip nearby. Go get it.”
But it didn’t seem right to tell him to go get it. That would make it sound like he was asking her for a gift.
So, he would just say he was on a business trip nearby. He would definitely tell her that he would take it with him…..
As he thought about it, another five minutes passed. Justin picked up his cell phone again, but there was still no notification.
He frowned and stared at the phone.
Half an hour later.
He finally got a notification: there was a red ‘1’ in the alerts!
The corners of Justin’s lips curved upward, his slender, well-defined finger tapped lightly on it. His heart raced as he pressed the notification.
Then, he saw the words “Nora Smith likes your post.”
“…”
Justin stared at the notification for a long time until he was sure that was it. Then, he angrily tossed the cell phone aside.

At 8 pm.
The person in charge of the live streaming application called the supervisor who had just left. He said, “Sir, hurry up and take a look at Facebook!”.
The supervisor, who had just arrived home, suddenly had a bad feeling. He rushed to open Facebook to see that another hashtag, #fantasiaaffirmsthatweetcherryisfake, was now trending.
Fantasia was also a registered live streamer with them. However, she was not on the gaming channels but on the entertainment channels. She is supposed to be a young girl from a wealthy family.
During her live stream today, someone asked her in the comments about Sweetcherry. She immediately replied, “Oh, Sweetie? Do they really think a princely background like hers is real? Real rich families will never allow their children to show off in public like that when they’re only five years old! I only managed to start live broadcasting after fighting with my family for a long time.”
His words suggested that sweetcherry’s origin was false and that it was just an image that a management company had created to give it popularity.
Due to sweetcherry’s popularity, the publication about what he had said had shot straight to the top 20 trending topics.
The person in charge asked nervously, “What should we do about it?”.
The supervisor frowned and replied, “I guess you could also say it’s a different way of trying to get popularity. But Fantasia is just taking advantage of the popularity of whoever is a trending topic at the time. Give him a warning.”
The person in charge said, “Okay, got it. sweetcherry is the most promising in my opinion this year. Besides, she’s only five years old; the things kids say are the cutest. I mustn’t let Fantasia ruin her.”
Cherry, the person under discussion, was at that moment curled up under her covers. After sending some stickers to ‘Grandpa’ on Facebook Messenger to keep their friendship spark going, she happily said, “Mom, I added Dad on Facebook today! What should I tell him?”
After thinking, she typed a message in earnest, “Dad, are you asleep?”.
Her message immediately filled Justin’s mind with question marks: ‘?’.
He was still angry at Nora for being so ruthless, but she had jumped right into the line of fire. Who had given her permission to call him Dad?
Justin replied coldly, “I’m not your father.”
He then blocked Cherry on Facebook.
He wasn’t going to accept the daughter that woman had with an idiot – not even if it was free!
