Chapter 120
Chapter 120:.
The light in Cherry’s eyes dimmed a little.
Daddy Stinky didn’t even know she was his daughter, so how was she going to ask him to pick her up?
However, this wasn’t a problem when it came time to argue. She straightened her back, put her chubby little hands on her hips and said, “If you don’t believe me, why don’t you call Daddy and ask him if Cherry is his daughter.”
Whitney, “?”
The woman, who looked a little fierce, was so stunned by his words that she didn’t know what to say. She paused to catch her breath before sneering, “I’m not going to bother Mr. Hunt just for trivial matters like this!”
“Oh, I see. You must be afraid of my father.”
Was there anyone who would dare to mess with Justin Hunt in the New York business circle?
Whitney was speechless. However, she plucked up her courage and said, “How can that be? I think you’re just using his name, that’s all.”
Cherry cocked her head to one side.. “But how does my father’s identity have anything to do with whether I occupy the center position or not?”
Whitney was about to respond when Cherry pulled out her cell phone and said, “Mrs. Lowe, I just turned on the audio recorder by accident!”
The audio recorder?
Whitney’s eyes suddenly widened. She never would have imagined that a five-year-old girl could be so cunning and have so many tricks up her sleeve.
She clenched her fists and snatched the cell phone from Cherry. She sneered, “Don’t you know students aren’t allowed to bring cell phones to school?”
Cherry, however, wasn’t bothered. She looked at her with her big round eyes and said, “I know, so I’m willing to hand over the cell phone. But Mom is afraid of people bullying me in the garden, so I think she’s also set up a surveillance camera and audio recorder for me~”
She patted herself here and there, then said, “Was it this big button here on the name tag? I don’t remember it well anymore~ Mrs. Lowe, shall I go to the field and stand there now?”
Whitney, “!!!”
She clenched her fists. She knew very well that Cherry was lying, but on the off chance that she wasn’t, if she was recorded punishing Cherry for no reason, it would be terrible if the recording was uploaded to the Internet or used against her.
Whitney’s look changed a couple of times before she forced a stiff smile and said, “Why do you have to do that? I was just messing with you.”
She lowered her gaze. As she walked back into the classroom, she said, “Let’s get back to class!”
Cherry obediently followed her. As they entered the dance studio, they saw Sinead talking triumphantly to the rest of the children. She said, “Did you all see that? If anyone bullies me, Mommy will teach them a lesson! Cherry the little dog is a good example of that.”
But as soon as she said that, she heard a voice coming from behind her, “Hi, Sinead the little dog!”
Sinead turned and looked. Seeing Cherry, she pursed her lips, ready to cry. However, Whitney yelled, “Cherry, get back in position!”
Sinead swallowed the whimper that was about to escape her mouth and stifled the tears in her eyes.
As the children got into position, Whitney narrowed her eyes and said, “Now I’m going to count the beat. The first action… One, two, three, four…. Five, six, seven, eight…. Two, two, three, four… Five, six, seven, eight… Cherry, as a center, your movements are not up to par. Go to the side and practice this move a hundred times.”
Cherry would definitely quit if she was punished for no reason.
However, when it came to practicing the dance…. Cherry obediently went out, stood to the side and started practicing the dance move from just now.
The little girl was tenacious. Although she was gentle with outsiders, she was actually very stubborn. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have developed a grudge against her father just because he had blocked her on Facebook.
If Whitney said she didn’t dance well, then she would practice until she got it right and teach her a thing or two after that.
The rest of the kids felt their legs turn to jelly as they watched Cherry jumping around.
The first part of the dance was quite tiring because there were several jumps to do. However, Cherry did it again and again without a break. In between, Whitney even came over every now and then to tease her.
“Can you really do it, Cheryl? If you can’t, give up the center position!”
“Your physique is certainly pretty good, but don’t you lack a little foundation for dancing? You must not have learned to dance before, right?”
“Tsk. If I were you, I’d drop the center position.”
A mischievous look shone in Whitney’s eyes as she looked at the girl.
She had underestimated the girl just now. Since she couldn’t take direct action against her, she would only take an indirect approach instead. She just didn’t think she could handle such a high intensity workout every day.
However, Cherry gritted her teeth and endured. Her hair was wet with sweat, but she didn’t care.
To be honest, she knew Whitney was right.
When her Godmother Tanya took a liking to her and wanted to teach her how to dance, she didn’t practice much because it seemed too hard and tiring. Thus, her foundation was not as solid as Sinead’s.
Although dancing didn’t require much skill, if perfection was within her means, then she would definitely do her best not to slow down the rest.
She practiced over and over again….
An hour and a half later, the dance lesson was finally over. Cherry felt as if her legs had turned to jelly and she didn’t have an ounce of strength left. She felt a little unsteady on her feet as she hobbled back to the classroom.
Brandon, who spotted her from afar, trotted over and held her arm as he helped her into the classroom.
Mia also hurried to bring her a glass of water. Cherry raised her head and drank it. Only then did she feel much better.
Sinead watched them out of the corner of her eye and said, “Cherry the little dog, if you leave the center position, Mommy won’t make your life any more difficult!”noveldrama
Cherry ignored her.
After dinner, they finally let the children out of the garden. Cherry yawned sleepily and followed Miss Lynn to the kindergarten gates.
Classes had ended five minutes earlier today. However, Mama Nora was late again. This caused Cherry to stand at the door waiting even after all the other children had been picked up by their parents one by one….
Unfortunately, the kindergarten facilities were being cleaned at the time. Miss Lynn also knew that Cherry’s mother had it hard because she had to carry everything by herself and still be on time every day to pick up her daughter from kindergarten, so she stayed with Cherry while she waited at the gates.
Just as Miss Lynn was about to comfort her, Whitney, who was holding Sinead by the hand, came up and stood in front of them. She said, “Cheryl Smith, you claim that your father is Justin Hunt, but if that’s true, why wouldn’t he send a chauffeur to pick you up after the garden? Why would he let you wait here for God knows how long?”
Cherry pouted. She didn’t want to pay attention to him.
Whitney scoffed, “Surely it’s not because your father doesn’t love you, is it?”
Cherry, who had been blocked on Facebook by her father, was still angry with him. No doubt Whitney’s words rubbed salt in her wound. She looked up and yelled, “Of course not!”
Seeing her get flustered, Whitney smiled and said, “No? You’re finally admitting that your father is not Justin Hunt? People like you who use his name to lie and mislead others in the garden should be expelled!”
“I’m not lying!” Cherry clenched her fists and said fiercely, “My father is really Justin Hunt!”
In the distance, Justin, who was sitting in the car, stared at Cherry.
The little girl was wearing the dressed-up version of the kindergarten uniform, and her face was adorable and charming.
The corners of her lips curved upward uncontrollably. She got out of the car and approached. As soon as he got close, he heard Whitney say sarcastically, “Hah, you still insist that your father is Justin Hunt, even at this late date? You might as well say you’re the Lord himself if you’re so cool.”
