Please Give Me Another Chance Mrs Hamilton

Chapter 225

Perhaps it was because she had seen someone from her past, or perhaps it was due to her heartache for Sophie, but in either case, Nadine was in a very bad

mood today.

What happened six years ago resurfaced in her mind, constantly stirring up her already uneasy emotions.

She didn't want to argue with Brad now. All she wanted was to hide in a corner and tend to her traumas herself. Never mind being considerate, but his audacity to pick a fight with her now truly upset her.

Nadine wasn't planning to be nice to him. Not only did she yell at him, but the disgust in her eyes was also palpable. She just wanted to have some personal space and stay in for a while.

But Brad denied her this opportunity and took her back to Phoenix Villa instead. He'd gone too far. She wasn't some weak, docile, woman that would allow herself to be mistreated.

So, she turned toward him and warned, "I'm in a very bad mood now, and I'd like some personal space. I don't want to get into a fight with you. Stay away from me!"

Sophie and Victoria's words reminded Nadine of her past. The suffocating sense of unease immediately came back as her memories resurfaced, weighing down on her like a heavy stone.

Brad gaped at her, astounded by her audacity to yell at him. It took him a few seconds to snap back to his senses.

"Nadine, are you sure you're talking to me? Who gave you the right to speak to me like that?"

Privileged by his superior status, Brad was used to having people grovel before him and cater to his mood. But now, the tables had turned. Nadine didn't just yell at him, but she also threatened him.

Who did she think she was?

Without much thought, he grabbed her wrist and dragged her toward the house. "Your nerve to act like this!"

Ignoring her struggles, he tightened his grip around her wrist and hauled her from the yard into the house.

Instead of taking her to the bedroom on the second floor, he took her to the storage room in the basement.

He opened the long-unused door and shoved her in. His eyes were cold as he watched her struggle.in vain. Nadine was becoming more and more unruly. It was time tonoveldrama

Infuriated, Brad stormed up to her and grabbed her chin, forcing her to meet his gaze. "Nadine, do you have a death wish?"

No woman had ever dared to speak to him like that before! Beneath her gentle demeanor, she harbored a rebellious streak, and he was going to break that defiance today.

As Nadine was immersed in her memories, her mind was occupied by the Wilkinson family.

Back then, her mother had sent her to live in the countryside. Her

mother's reputation was ruined from having a child out of wedlock, so everyone looked down on them.

Nadine had no one to talk toget

alone to play with.

Only Sophie and Jack ignored the mocking of others. Not only did they help her

out, but they gave her the warmth she'd never known.

Later, her mother brought her back to the city after her life became stable. But still, she enjoyed her time spent in the countryside the most.

Nadine had always thought that Sophie and Victoria would lead a good life with the money they had received. It wasn't until today that she learned that they hadn't been doing well at all.

Sophie was basically blind.
