Chapter 663
"So, my disappearing actually makes you happy?" Bradley looked even more baffled. "Did we have a fight before I vanished or something?"
He paused, frowning. "Or... did we break up?"
Cameron shot him a confused look. "Break up? What are you even talking about?"
Bradley let out a sigh of relief. "So we didn't break up, just had a fight, right?"
Cameron stared at him. "Break up? Seriously, Bradley, do you actually think we were ever together?"
"Is his memory really that messed up?' she thought to herself.
Bradley looked genuinely confused. "Are you saying we weren't?"
Cameron let out a sneer. "Who told you that? Or is that just something you made up in your messed-up memory?"
Bradley shook his head. "I don't remember anything about you. That's just what my mom told me."
Cameron was momentarily speechless.
She took another sip of her coffee before speaking. "Bradley, I have no idea why your mom would lie to you about us ever being together. But let me make it clear: there's nothing between us."
When he saw the cold look on Cameron's face, that familiar ache in Bradley's chest crept back in.
"Cameron, you really seem to hate me. Did I do something unforgivable to you?" Bradley asked, his brows furrowing.
Cameron smiled bitterly.
Bradley really didn't remember a thing.
'What's the point of bringing it up now?' she thought to herself.
Bradley stared at Cameron, his voice sincere. "Cameron, I really don't remember anything from before. If I ever did something to hurt you, I want to
sincerely apologize. I'm sorry."
Cameron's fingers tightened around her coffee cup.
Finally, Bradley apologized.
But his apology came too late.
Now, seven years had passed.
She looked up at Bradley, her voice cool and even. "Since you've forgotten and apologized, let's wipe the slate clean."
After all, seven years ago, when he locked her away in that castle, he hadn't actually done anything to her.
She hadn't suffered any real harm.
And Cameron did feel grateful for the help Bradley had given her in the past.
So, she decided to let everything between them be wiped away.
With that, Cameron set down her coffee cup and stood up to leave.
"Cameron."
As she walked past Bromley, he reached out and caught her hand.
Her hand was small and soft, while Bradley's was warm and solid, almost completely enveloping hers.
Cameron lowered her gaze, looking at their hands joined together.
Bradley released her hand almost immediately.
"Anything else?" Cameron casually slipped the hand Bradley had just held into her pocket.
Bradley said, "I went back to the villa at Noble Vista a couple of days ago and found a mountain bike in the storage room. Do you know who gave it to me?"
Cameron replied coolly, "Yeah. I did."
Bradley stared at her. "You gave it to me?"
That mountain bike wasn't cheap.
It was even... luxurious.
"Cameron actually gave me something that expensive?' he thought, surprised. 'What was our relationship, really? Good friends, if not a couple?"
Noticing Bradley's silence, Cameron turned to leave.
Bradley sat in the chair, a slight frown on his face.
He pressed his fingers to his brow.
Then, he thought, 'I should talk to Eddie right now!
He needed to remember everything that had happened between him and Cameron.
Two hours later, Bradley parked his car outside Eddie's counseling clinic. Eddie was really busy.noveldrama
It wasn't until 2 p.m. that he finally had a chance to grab a bite.
Carrying his lunchbox, he spotted Bradley sitting on the couch in the waiting area,
Eddie was a little surprised. "Brad? When did you get here?"
Bradley replied, "I've been here for a while."
Eddie asked, "Why didn't you let me know?"
Bradley said, "I saw you were busy."
Noticing Bradley's pale face, Eddie asked, "Is something up?"
What do you think?
