Chapter 236
Chapter 236:noveldrama
I should have known this was coming. I should have known I’d need to explain, but I didn’t have time—not now. I couldn’t lose Jasmine. Not now, not ever. The thought alone made Ace growl inside me.
“Jasmine? Isn’t she your Luna? Is this some sort of trick to get my help? Because the big, bad Lycan Alpha can’t rescue his Luna after she’s been blood-tied?” He sneered. “If you need help, say it directly, Ryder. Don’t beat around the bush.”
His words ignited the fire in me. The fact that I was helpless for the first time in my life—pathetic—and that he had to see it, mock it, made my wolf stir violently. Ace growled again, the urge to slam Enzo’s face into the wall nearly unbearable.
But no. I wouldn’t lose my temper. This wasn’t the time for violence.
Kade stepped forward, his voice steady. “We don’t expect you to take our word for it. But the bond she shared with Ryder—it’s gone. Broken by a blood-tie. She was stolen from you, just like she’s being stolen from us now.”
A muscle ticked in Enzo’s jaw. His wolf was dangerously close to the surface, barely restrained.
“If this is true…” His voice trembled with suppressed rage. “If Jasmine is my sister, and you’ve let them take her again—”
“I didn’t let anything happen!” I snapped, the guilt cutting through me like a blade. “I’m here to fix it. But we can’t do it without you. Without your pack.”
Enzo stared at me, his gaze—
Enzo’s eyes searched mine for any trace of a lie. His warriors shifted behind him, their unease palpable.
The seconds stretched on, each one tightening around my chest. Finally, he spoke, his voice low and cold. “Prove it.”
I swallowed hard. My gaze flickered to Kade, and I saw his face fall. There was no evidence. But who the hell cared?
“There’s no fucking evidence, Enzo,” I said, my frustration growing. “How about we do this instead? Cut the long talks, we aren’t females. Let’s get to action, rescue her, and run a DNA test. That’s all the proof we need, isn’t it?”
“And what’s at stake?” Enzo’s voice was sharp, calculating.

I sighed. A Prince, yet with Viper blood running through his veins. What was I expecting? They weren’t ruthless to be in power for jokes and child’s play.
“Half of my pack would belong to the Viper,” I said. “My word is my bond, Enzo. Can we go now?”
“Am I to take your words as they are?” he asked, his tone skeptical.
“Yes,” I said firmly. “And if we don’t act now, you might never see her again.”
His hesitation cracked, replaced by raw determination. “If you’re lying, I’ll rip your heart out myself.”
“If I’m lying, I’ll hand you the knife,” I shot back, my gaze steady.
A dark smile flickered across his face. He turned to his warriors. “Prepare the pack. We’re going to tear Silverclaw apart.”
He looked back at me, his eyes cold and deadly. “You’ve got your alliance, Ryder. Let’s get my sister back. If at all she’s my sister. And if she’s not, half of your pack.”
For the first time in hours, hope flared in my chest. We had a chance. And I was going to make damn sure we took it.
Jasmine’s POV
Hot tears slid down my cheeks, each one a tiny dagger driving into my already shattered heart. Luna Anna’s words echoed in my mind, a cruel chant that refused to fade away. My entire life was a lie? Nothing but a carefully crafted joke?
I shook my head, trying to clear the fog of disbelief. My voice trembled as I whispered, “Why… why did you adopt me?”
She laughed softly, that cold, familiar sound now felt like nails scratching across my soul. “Because you possess power, Jasmine. Strong, raw power. I needed you for the pack’s growth. I gave you a life, protected you, treated you like my own. And in return, I asked for one favor—to strengthen our pack. But you chose to betray me by running off with that Lycan king.”
