Chapter 34:

“Yuck, so much for being a lover boy,” Ace teased, but I wasn’t in the mood for his jokes.

“Shut up,” I hissed, shutting the link instantly so I didn’t have to hear him say anything.

“Let go of me, you dirty pig!” she screeched, wriggling her hands away from Seraphina. “Why won’t you let me be with this handsome man? You want to take me back to my pack, don’t you?”

Shaking my head, it was a sight to see her both stubborn in drunkenness and in health. Taking off my shirt, I passed Seraphina a sorry look and picked up Jasmine.

Her body steadied in my hands as she lay staring at me dreamily. I knew better than to encourage whatever thought was going on in her head, so I kept a straight face. Opening the door to her room, I placed her gently on a leather couch. Thankfully, her vomit had only stained her sweater, so I removed it from her body.

Dampening my shirt, I wiped the corners of her lips. All the while, she didn’t utter a single word, but her eyes followed my wrists. Done with babysitting the vixen, I stood up when I felt a firm grip on my hands.

“Don’t go. Why won’t you stay and make babies with me?” Her voice sounded like she was sobbing, but when I looked at her, she was as dry-eyed as ever.

A loud, throaty sound erupted from my chest, and my whole body quaked with laughter. For a minute, it sounded like it was coming from someone else, but it was me… I hadn’t laughed in years.

“But you’d said earlier that you’d never let me touch you,” I said, not missing the opportunity to tease her. Her thoughts seemed fixed on something else entirely, as she ignored my crude comment.

Instead, her hands ran over my abs, trailing slowly over each one. They moved upwards, pressing firmly against my body as if she was searching for something. Her eyes now shone with obvious passion as she bit her lips. Still trailing downward, her hands moved toward my navel. They continued lower, stopping at the band of my trousers.

I grabbed her hands and gently pushed them away from my body, a shiver running through me.

“Delicious,” she murmured, and I groaned. Ace was struggling to break free, his protests growing louder in my head, but I kept pushing him back. The only reason I wasn’t giving in to her desire was because she was drunk. Whether she realized it or not, she was starting a fire she wouldn’t be able to quench.

My fingers tightened around her hand; it felt soft and smooth. I couldn’t believe I was in this situation. Ace was making things bearable, but he was struggling to break free, and I was trying to keep him contained. It was getting harder by the second. Her hands tightened around mine, and I felt my resolve slipping. Shit!

“You need to sleep,” I told her, trying to sound calm, but my voice came out croaky as I loosened my palms, now entwined with hers.

She looked up at me, her small brown eyes innocent and beguiling. “That’s not what I need. Why don’t you snuggle beside me?” she whispered, and I found myself groaning—Ace, actually—who was bent on claiming her body right then. She was making it difficult to leave.

My heart skipped a beat. I knew exactly what she was getting at. I patted her gently on the forehead, trying to distract her. “You’re exhausted, you need to rest.”

Her hold on me tightened, and I felt Ace stirring. Her scent was strong against my nostrils, slowly clouding my senses, responding to her arousal. It was like a punch to the gut, making my breath catch.

I blinked my eyes closed, trying to calm Ace down. But it was no use. Her scent was intoxicating, and I could feel myself losing control. I knew I had to leave, but my legs wouldn’t move.

As if reading my thoughts, she whispered, “Don’t go.” At her words, I could feel my cock stir, pushing against my corduroy pants.

“Let’s just get it over with. I wonder if she’ll sound this innocent once we’re inside her,” Ace snickered, and I wished I could punch him. He wasn’t making things easier for me.
