Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 1356

By a stroke of luck, two spots suddenly opened up, and Jamie managed to snag one after acing the second round of interviews.

When the news got out, everyone breathed a collective sigh of relief-happy for Jamie, but also a little amazed at how things turned out.

Later, Mia grinned and said, "Yingying, all the hard work you put in totally deserves every bit of good news coming your way."

They hadn't even gotten their official acceptance letters yet, but Mia and Jamie were already dragging Denny out to celebrate over dinner.

Since Katie had also helped them out, they invited her to join. Katie was the superstar of their department-so much so that even her own advisor was a bit intimidated by her.

At dinner, Jamie was more nervous than Mia, sitting next to Denny and wanting to ask about study tips, but too shy to actually say anything—afraid Katie would give her one of her signature, no-nonsense lectures.

Mia, a little braver, sat next to Katie and said, "Hey, Katie, we're all in this together now. Let's look out for each other at school, yeah?"

Katie raised her teacup and smirked. "Honestly, you'll be the one looking after us."

Mia blinked. "Wait, what?"

Katie grinned, "Havenbrook University might as well have your name on it."

Mia laughed, "If only I'd realized! I'd have pulled some strings and gotten Jamie and me in through the back door." She was clearly joking.noveldrama

She held up her cup, and the four of them toasted. "Doesn't matter who's looking after who—fate brought the four of us together, and from now on, we're friends."

Now that they were officially friends, Mia couldn't help herself. "Hey, Feifei, can I ask you something super nosy?" Her bright, curious eyes drifted to Katie's hair- or rather, her buzzcut.

Katie knew exactly what Mia was about to ask. She also knew their strict professor, Mrs. Cedillo, secretly dreaded students as tough as her. "There are two reasons I shaved my head. One, right after college, my family tried to set me up on a bunch of blind dates. I wasn't having it. Two, washing my hair was such a pain. Being bald means I get two extra hours a day to study. Plus, every time I feel distracted, I just touch my head and snap back to focus."

Mia nodded. “Honestly, after you shaved it and it grew back, your hair looks even healthier."

Everyone at the table cracked up, and Jamie finally stopped being so intimidated by Katie. "Feifei, why did your family start matchmaking you night after college content belongs fo

Katie shrugged. "Where I'm from, girls my age already have two kids."

Mia patted Katie's shoulder. "If I'd been as tough as you back then, who knows where Henry would be now."

The others looked puzzled, so Mia

Andre: "Even if you were bald and had to wear a wig, you'd still have to wear your

When Mia got home, she couldn't

wait to spill everything to her husband, chattering away about what she'd learned-including her little tricks to dodge arranged е marriages. She started to regret it almost immediately “Babe, do you think if I'd been bald back then, you wouldn't have married me?"

That made Andre a little grumpy, so he "punished" Mia for a good while.

The little soft kitten wasn't happy either. "If I went bald, would you still love me?” "Absolutely!"

Annoyed, Mia jumped out of bed. "I'm going to cut my hair right now!"

She hopped off and took a few dramatic steps toward the door. "I mean it, I'm going!"

Andre leaned back against the headboard, watching his theatrical little wife with a smirk.

"Honey, I'm really going!"
