Chapter 814
"You're spouting nonsense!" Joseph shot a look of disbelief at Estelle.
As a prodigy, Yvette didn't need him to leak the answers to her.
But Estelle wouldn't back down. She held up the stack of photos in her hands. "Mr. Wick, the evidence is right here! You can't deny it now! The actions you've taken are an insult to all the honest competitors here."
As soon as she finished speaking, she glanced at the judges' table meaningfully.
Most of the judges had already been swayed by her influence. Noticing her pointed look in their direction, they immediately began to voice their opinions.
"Now it makes sense why Mr. Wick was so certain that Yvette would win. He must have been secretly working with her behind the scenes!"
"Mr. Wick, how could you do something so shameful? This needs to be dealt with severely!"
"Exactly. This kind of cheating can't be tolerated! The integrity of this competition needs to be protected, and the culprits must face serious consequences."
The judges' comments seemed to cement the story that Yvette had used her charms to seduce Joseph, who had, in turn, leaked the answers to her.
This only fueled the crowd's outrage, further riling up those who didn't know the truth.
"Outrageous! This kind of manipulative behavior is disgusting! Yvette and Mr. Wick should be severely punished!"
"Absolutely! They should strip Yvette of the championship and disqualify her from any future competitions. Estelle should be the rightful winner!"
"Jubilife University should be banned from participating in future events. Mr. Wick should be removed from his position as well!"
Estelle couldn't help but smile with satisfaction as the shouts grew louder. She was confident that the championship would fall back into her hands.
This was a global broadcast, so everyone would know that Yvette was a schemer, morally corrupt, and unfit to continue in the medical field. She'd never be able to recover her reputation.noveldrama
In a private room on the second floor, a cold, dignified man stared impassively at the TV screen as the drama unfolded.
"Mr. Quinn, should I intervene?" Samuel asked, his voice laced with concern. The situation was spiraling out of control, and it was extremely unfavorable for Yvette. Wilson's eyes softened as he glanced at Yvette, still lounging lazily in her chair, her legs casually crossed. He spoke in a low, calm voice, "No need. Yvie has her own plans."
Things might worsen if Wilson intervened. In which case, Yvette would surely be displeased.
Even though Samuel was worried, he nodded with respect. "Understood, Mr. Quinn."
The atmosphere at the competition venue was growing tense.
"Yvette, get off the stage. The championship should be Estelle's!"
Estelle's admirers shouted from the crowd, and the judges, receiving her signal, immediately assumed a righteous stance.
"Everyone, quiet down! The
International Medical Congress will not tolerate such dishonesty. I will report Mr. Wick's actions to Mr. Gillman immediately, and we trust that Mr. Gillman will take action.
"As for Yvette from Jubilife University, she is hereby disqualified from this competition and blacklisted from the medical field On behalf of the International Medical Congress, I announce her permanent ban!"
The supporters of Estelle cheered loudly at the announcement.
Yvette remained unmoved, her demeanor still relaxed, as though she hadn't heard
a word. She only scoffed lightly. "You have no right to ban me."
Her bold words immediately sparked outrage.
"Who does Yvette think she is? The judges are all executives of the International
Medical Congress, yet she dares to say they have no right?"
"How could Jubilife University allow such an arrogant and manipulative person to participate? She's making a mockery of Croedal's reputation!"
Yvette's arrogance angered the lead judge so much that he almost laughed. "Did you say I have no right to ban you? Great, I'll take today's opportunity to show you just how qualified I am to ban you from the medical field."
After all, they believed Yvette was a powerless student from Jubilife University
with no backing. Banning her would be a piece of cake.
What do you think?
