Talented Heiress: A Rose With Thorns

Chapter 825

That night, the helicopter landed on the hospital helipad.

As soon as the cabin door opened, Wilson stepped out, supporting Yvette beside him.

Though they both looked a bit travel-worn, their commanding presence was so intense that it sent chills down the spines of everyone around them.

"Mr. Quinn, Mrs. Quinn Senior suffered a heart attack after falling down the stairs from the second floor. She's currently in the emergency room," Samuel reported. With every word, Wilson's expression grew colder.

Yvette knew he was worried about Martha. Martha had already undergone surgery not long ago, and at her age, another operation could be too much for her to bear.

Yvette bit her lip, then patted the back of his hand firmly, her voice resolute. "I won't let anything happen to Grandma."

Hearing her words, Wilson's icy demeanor softened a bit. He held her hand even tighter. "I believe in you."

Seeing his mood lighten, Yvette wasted no time. "Let's go."

Samuel immediately responded with respect, "Yes, Ms. Yvette."

When Victoria saw the familiar tall, imposing figure striding in her direction, her eyes lit up, and she eagerly ran over, calling out in a sweet tone, "Wilson!"

But the moment she spotted Yvette by his side, Victoria's gaze turned cold. Why had that bitch come back too?

Victoria seethed with resentment, but she hid it well, quickly putting on her innocent and kind facade.

"Yvie..."

Wilson's expression was icy, and his gaze at her was sharp and penetrating, sending a chill through her.

"What are you doing here?"

Victoria could feel his undisguised disgust toward her. She clenched her fists tightly at her sides but looked pitifully aggrieved, as if needing comfort.

As expected, Jimmy stepped forward with courage and said, "Mr. Quinn, since you were not in Jubilife, and Mr. Jasper was away in Jeckton for a competition, Ms. Olson took charge when Mrs. Quinn Sentor had such a severe accident!"

"Mr. Quinn, we're really grateful for Ms. Olson! When Mrs. Quinn Senior collapsed, we were all at a complete loss, but Ms. Olson held everything together here at Quinn Manor!"

Jimmy's tone clearly suggested that he saw Victoria as the family's backbone, hinting that she was practically the future lady of the Quinn family household.

Pleased with the unspoken recognition, Victoria subtly smirked, feigning modesty. "I only did what I was supposed to."

"Oh, Ms. Olson. There's no need to be so modest! We truly owe it all to you today. Mr. Quinn, you should properly thank Ms. Olson!"

Jimmy's appreciation of her only deepened when he saw how she refused the credit. He believed that Wilson would now look at her differently. But unexpectedly, the man's expression only grew darker and more dangerous.

"She took charge? Did I hire you all to be useless in the manor?"

Wilson's words left Jimmy humiliated, and his old face turned pale under the reprimand.

Jimmy, an old and loyal butler of Martha, was accustomed to Wilson's usual politeness. This was the first time he'd been treated so harshly.

"Mr. Quinn, please. Calm your anger..."noveldrama
