Chapter 18:.

“Mommy, I’m going out now.”

Stella finished packing her little backpack and yelled into the room. She then walked toward the door naturally.

From the room, Hayden’s glaring, lazy voice rang out. “Where are you going?”.

“I’m going to get ice cream.”

Hayden tossed and turned in his bed. He had a sleepy look on his face. “Oh, okay, come back soon and buy me one too.”

Stella had always gone out alone to buy things, she was so resourceful. So Hayden didn’t worry about her and allowed her to go out. After Stella went downstairs, she went to the place where they sold ice cream. She wandered and hopped around happily in a particularly good mood.

At the door of the cafe, a burly old master stepped out of a Bentley. He wore black Tai Chi clothes and looked imposing. Beside him, a person who looked like a butler opened the door to the cafe. “Sir, here.”

The Old Master examined the cafe, frowned and whispered.

“I’m already very old, but I still need to come here to have a blind date for my grandson Don’t you think it’s ridiculous? In my opinion, isn’t it better to look for someone to impersonate him? And if the woman is good, then quickly set a date for marriage.”

The butler followed up, “This is not possible since many people in N-Town know my Young Master. The photo posted on the dating website faces a situation where either no one believes it is him or if someone believes it, when she comes here and sees that it is not the same person, she may think we are scamming her.”

“What you said is true.” Harrison Beckham let out a sigh and sat down in an armchair by the window.

“Forget it. For my great-grandson’s sake, I won’t bother with my reputation this time.”

“Oh, ice cream.” The butler seemed to think of something. He hurriedly went to the counter to order a cup of ice cream and placed it in front of Harrison.

Harrison’s expression changed slightly. The large cup of colorful strawberry ice cream was totally at odds with the imposing old man dressed in black. There was a kind of amused contrast as he looked at them.

The butler next to him kept his face tense to hold in his laughter. “If you keep laughing, you’ll come and sit here.” Harrison looked at the butler with distaste.

As they spoke, a series of beeps sounded at the door.

A little girl carrying a bag of the little yellow duck cheerfully entered. She looked around first and then her gaze lingered on the cup of ice cream on the table by the window. And then, when she saw the old master behind the ice cream, she was stunned for a moment.

She hesitated for a long time, but finally came closer. “Hello.”

A young voice came from the edge of the table. Harrison, who was a little impatient at first, froze for a moment once he saw the girl. What family was this girl from, did she look slightly familiar?

“You’re not Joseph Beckham, are you?” Stella appraised him. His pair of large eyes that looked extraordinarily pure were moving, as if she had some ideas in her mind.

This Old Master had a full head of white hair but his eyes and eyebrows looked a bit like Joseph’s, could he be a member of Joseph’s family?

“Are you Joseph Beckham’s family member?”.

Harrison was a little puzzled by the girl’s pretty young voice. His tone became unconsciously softer. “How do you know?”

Stella heaved a sigh of relief. With both hands, she climbed up to the opposite seat and sat down nonchalantly, introducing herself. “I’m Hayden’s daughter. I made this blind date for my mommy, so I was the one who asked you to come.”

Harrison was even more surprised at that moment, “You’re so young, but you still help your mommy find a husband?”

Stella blinked, “You’re already so old, but you’re also helping your son find a wife!”.

Harrison froze for a second and let out a loud laugh. “Yeah, this affair has nothing to do with age, my bad.”noveldrama

Stella looked at him with a serious face. “So, can you tell me first what kind of person you’re looking for? I’ll see if my mommy is suitable.”
