The Double or more Life of the Fake Heiress (Mirabella)

Chapter 1748

At the airport, Nick had just stepped off the plane, and Reid was right there to meet him.

"Hey, Mr. Nick," Reid greeted, nodding respectfully before grabbing Nick's suitcase.

Nick, looking sharp in his sleek black suit, carried himself with a tall, commanding presence. He had this cool, aloof vibe about him. As they walked toward the exit, he asked, "Has Keir woken up yet?"

"Not yet," Reid replied with a bit of a grin. "We've got Miss Mira to thank for Keir still hanging in there. Without her, well..."

Nick knew all too well about Mirabella's medical skills, and that knowledge eased his mind a bit. "With Mira there, I'm sure Chester will pull through."

"Absolutely," Reid nodded.

Miss Mira had quite the reputation for turning around cases that stumped the hospital's best doctors. With her on their side, it was just a matter of time before Keir would be back on his feet.

They reached the parking lot, and Reid stashed the luggage in the trunk. Once in the car, he checked the rearview mirror, started the engine, and asked, "Mr. Nick, do you want to head to the Davis estate or go straight to the hospital?"

"Let's hit the hospital first," Nick answered without a second thought.

"You got it," Reid replied. Just as he turned the car, his phone buzzed.

Noticing it was one of his team, he slipped on his Bluetooth earpiece and answered, "...So, Mr. Jaime's at the main house? And Miss Mira's already back?"

Nick, sitting in the back, caught snippets of the conversation. Once Reid hung up, Nick asked, "What's the deal?"

"Mr. Davis went to the main house, claiming he needs to see Miss Mira. She's already returned. A few days back, he stirred some of the elders to make a fuss at the hospital. I'm worried he's up to something," Reid explained, frowning.

Nick knew Jaime as a sly character, always plotting something. After a moment, he decided, "Let's swing by the Davis estate first."

Even though Mirabella was incredibly capable, she might still fall prey to

Nickaime's crafty schemes

to make sure she was

alright. "Alright."

Meanwhile, Mirabella had just arrived back at the Davis estate.

The old butler was already at the door, waiting. "Miss Mira."noveldrama

Mirabella gave a slight nod, dropped her car keys on the foyer table, and followed him into the sitting room.

Jaime was in the middle of a phone call. Seeing Mirabella walk in, he didn't bother to pause, continuing at a relaxed pace as if she was the one who needed him.

"Miss Mira, why don't you take a seat for a bit?" the butler suggested, glancing at Jaime.

He then brewed a fresh cup of coffee for her.

With her usual easygoing nature, Mirabella settled on the sofa, patiently waiting.

Five minutes later, Jaime wrapped up his call. Turning around, he found Mirabella sitting there, looking quite at ease, not at all what he expected.

Something flickered in Jaime's eyes as he sat down. "Let me introduce myself. I'm Jaime, your third cousin once removed."

Mirabella lazily drummed her fingers on her knee, tilting her head slightly, her eyes giving off a nonchalant glint. "Oh, just get to the point."

Even though Jaime was in the 'power seat, he felt an odd pressure under her gaze. This niece of Jim's... Jaime squinted, pushing aside his discomfort, and laid a

gold embossed invitation on the coffee table. "Make sure Keir gets this."
