The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage

Chapter 2532

The karaoke bar owner looked between Arya and Frank, bemused. "Why would you do this? Are you some sort of vigilante?"

That made sense-youngsters were really different these days, each of them strong and keen to perpetuate justice. They must be keen to be the good guys and bask in the public's praise.

Laughing, the karaoke bar owner started to gloat. "Shame you're too naive to understand the world has changed... to be precise, there's a gap between the reality in your mind and what's really happening in the world. No one would shoot the riot shield instead of the leg, and there's no armor that can stop bullets.

"Wait, that's wrong. There are things that could, but they won't stop the impact. Ever heard of Kevlar? It's not actually weaved from steel but something with optimal durability—"

"Yap, yap, yap..."

Frank snorted impatiently. "All you rogues only ever run your mouths. Start shooting already, and cut the crap-you're talking my ears off."

"You asked for it!"

The karaoke bar owner fired, but Frank did not even budge!

"Die!"

Presuming that he had missed, the karaoke bar owner adjusted his aim and shot again, but Frank remained unscathed even after he emptied the clip.

The beggar, the karaoke bar owner, and Arya were left staring blankly.

What was going on?! No matter how good Frank could be, bullets should still hurt him!

That was when Frank opened his palm and allowed the bullets to roll off, dropping on the ground audibly.

It was not loud, but it was exceedingly astounding like the footsteps of an oncoming reaper.

While the beggar and the karaoke bar owner tried to turn and run, they felt as if their legs were gone for some reason.

Frank was not restraining them, but the sheer horror of the air around him denied them control over their own bodies!

"See ya!"

Frank kicked one of the bullets on the ground.

Whoosh!

The bullet tore through the head of the karaoke bar owner and out of the back of his head before punching a hole into the wall.

Later, Hana would reveal that she found the bullet miles away! Not hundreds of yards, but miles, like the stuff of legends!

"S-Stay back!" the beggar exclaimed. "I-I'm warning you... I have friends in high places whom you can't hope to match! If you mess with them, you'll

for it dearly!"

Frank was at once interested. "Talk about an unexpected reward! Go on, tell me who your friends are. I'd like to see what they could do, daring to challenge me!"noveldrama

The beggar was immediately

confident at the mention of his friends and smirked. "He told me that there are some people who would win against guns, and I actually doubted him... but I guess he's right!"

"So don't get too full of yourself. He surrounds himself with people of such strength. If you really think you're the best, test yourself against him all you want!"

Frank seized him by the neck right then. "Tell me, where are they?"

"T-They're..."

The beggar stuttered for a long while but did not say a word.

"Not talking?" Frank was actually puzzled-the beggar definitely knew he was

going to die, so what was stopping him?

"They'd go after my family if they knew my secret!"

Frank nodded in realization. "Right Good people like me never hurt anyone's family in retaliation, only my enemies... though I can also tell you that I'm really good at torture!"
