Chapter 2656
While Frank appeared to be a playboy, both the black-clad man and Mariah could tell that he was not all he seemed, and that he could do everything he said.
Mariah knees gave out as she dropped on the floor, stammering, "W-What do you want us to do?"
This was the first time she had ever experienced such horrific despair after numerous close shaves over the years, and it was completely different from anything she encountered before.
Frank's pressure was so powerful that she would rather fight an entire garrison on her own than stay here for another second.
"Alright, we'll talk!"
Ultimately, they both caved under Frank's quiet threat and decided to cooperate.
Once they were done, Frank pointed at the dagger on the ground. "Time to go, guys."
And with that, he turned to leave, leaving both of them exasperated.
After leaving the factory, Frank called Jouri and told her the situation.
Since the guild of assassins operated everywhere and most of their members were not in Shagan, he had to rely on Jouri. "Be careful-these are dangerous people, or to me at least."
Jouri giggled. "They're just assassins. What's so dangerous about that? And they're leaderless too. It's going to be easy."
Frank chuckled and hung up.
He soon returned to the business hotel, and seeing that nothing happened, he took a seat on the couch, resting his eyes.
Myra came over, poking the back of his hand. "You could get on the bed if you're sleepy!"
Unlike the martial elites she knew, Frank's skin was exceedingly smooth, as if his upkeep was better than a woman's.
So this was the level of the best? Small fry would never require his full attention, and he was always brimming with energy!noveldrama
"What are you doing, Aunt Myra?"
Janice was really exasperated with her aunt for teasing Frank even in a situation like this. They were all lucky he could be tolerant and did
not lash out at Myra, as anyone else would.
However, Myra giggled, as if she never realized her mistake. "What? He doesn't
mind it, so why do you mind? Or have you fallen in love?"
Janice flushed but did not argue, and Jada came over. "In that case, get in line. The list of ladies
interested is as long as
and you can't jump th
queue."
"Really?!" the aunt and niece pair exclaimed at the same time.
"Of course Jada nodded. "There
were just a handful of us going on vacation, and suddenly more were joining... and now, they can't even fit a homestay cottage."
Myra was immediately curious. "And how do those ladies compare to me?"
Jada admitted, "They're prettier, but they don't have your smile!"
If they were going to be long-term partners, Jada had to be somewhat respectful
to Myra and praise her despite her thoughts otherwise.
Myra naturally felt buoyed and smiled. "In that case, I still have a shot."
Janice smiled in exasperation. "Who on earth could be so direct from the get go? Can't you keep it in a little?"
Myra was even more exasperated than she was. "Oh, please it's the twenty-first century. If you like a person, you have to be direct!"
What do you think?
