The Heiress Nobody Saw Coming (Natalie and Marcus)

As they lay in bed, Laura instinctively curled into Wesley's embrace. "Wesley, I'm a little scared," she whispered.

"Don't be scared. I'm here," Wesley said, pulling Laura closer, just like the nights after they got married, when she hadn't yet been affected by Umbrahex.

"Laura, I was thinking," Wesley continued. "Tomorrow morning, when Marcus and Nattie wake up, we should send them on their honeymoon. If they stay here, they'll definitely sense something's wrong. It's better to send them away. After I take care of everything with Sheldon, I'll slowly tell them."

Laura nodded in his arms. "Alright, Wesley. I have no objections."

"Don't worry, I'm here. With Dad gone, it's my turn to take responsibility. We've been away these past few years, and while we didn't exactly leave for fun, we haven't contributed much at home either.

"Laura, if you want to open a flower shop, then do it. Don't worry about anything at home. Just focus on being happy and doing what you love," Wesley said, gently kissing her forehead. "And in time, let's remarry, okay?"

Laura nodded. "Okay."

When she returned to Holden Residence, Sheldon had comforted and guided her for a long time. One of the things he had asked was for her and Wesley to remarry.

With Marcus and Natalie now married, they would eventually have children. If Wesley and Laura weren't together, those children would have endless questions.

Laura thought about Sheldon's words, and they made sense. Sometimes, children's logic was hard for adults to understand. If she and Wesley remarried, they would be a family again, and it would only make sense for them to stay together.

The remarriage was inevitable.

But for now, the two of them had to focus on how to keep Marcus and Natalie happy and send them on their honeymoon without suspecting anything.

As they lay in bed together, Wesley reached over to turn off the lights. The curtains were drawn tightly, and the room was soon enveloped in darkness. "Wesley, I can't sleep," Laura whispered in the dark. "Are you asleep?"

"No," Wesley replied. "Laura, let me tell you a story."

Laura pouted, rubbing her head against his chest. "There's no need. I'm not a child. Wesley, do you think we'll ever find Sheldon's body?"

"It'll be difficult," Wesley answered honestly. "During the video call with Sheldon, I saw the background. It looked like they were on a ship. If they were on a ship, it would've been in the open sea. Even without the explosion, there are many unforeseen dangers out there."

He paused before continuing, "Laura, I think Sheldon planned this from the start. He didn't want us to find his or Cassie's body. Without a body, they'll just be missing. And if they're missing, there's no way to prove it's a crime. The dirty secrets of the Holden family won't come to light. Even if they do someday, there won't be any evidence to show that any of it ever happened."

Laura softly asked, "Did Sheldon plan it all to cover up everything Cassie did to the Holden family?"

Wesley sighed. "I think that's what he planned. Don't think too much about it. Let's sleep now. Tomorrow morning, we'll tell Marcus and Nattie to go on their honeymoon."

"Okay," Laura agreed.

"Laura, do you think you can act well in front of them tomorrow?" Wesley asked. Marcus and Natalie were both very perceptive. He worried that if they didn't act naturally enough, they might notice something was off.

"I don't know," Laura answered honestly. "I'm not sure if I can hide my emotions. Wesley, I wish you hadn't told me about this from the start."

Wesley forced a bitter smile. He hadn't known either. At that moment, he had just wanted to confide in someone he trusted. "Let's try our best tomorrow."

"Okay," Laura said with a small smile.

"Let's sleep," Wesley urged. "Goodnight."

"Goodnight," Laura replied.

They held each other close, and though falling asleep was difficult, they eventually managed to doze off.

At 10:00 am the next day, Marcus and Natalie woke up. They had stayed up late the previous night, and after the wedding, both were a bit tired. However, being in great physical condition, they had O recharged after a good night's sleep and felt refreshed.

Natalie sat up, stretching lazily.

Marcus reached out, wrapping his arm around her slim waist, pulling her gently into his embrace. "Sweetheart, good morning."

Natalie smiled. "Good morning, honey."

Marcus chuckled softly, kissing her lightly on the lips. "Do you want to lie down for a bit longer and relax?"

Natalie shook her head. "No, I'm done lying down. The wedding's finally over. I'm so glad we don't have to worry about it anymore."

Marcus chuckled lightly. "Hearing that from you makes me a little sad. Was it a chore to marry me?"

"It's not like that," Natalie said with a smile. "I cut down on a lot of the wedding procedures, but there were still quite a few. Thankfully, it wasn't too tiring. A good night's rest was all I needed. Let's get up now! We still need to spend some time with Mom and Dad today."

"We did that yesterday, so there's no need to do it again today. The Holden family doesn't have that many traditions," Marcus said, picking up his phone and showing it to Natalie.

"Dad and Mom want us to go on our honeymoon and spend some quality time together. As for Holden Group, Dad will take care of it. He just wants me to relax, enjoy this time with you, and hopefully, give them a grandchild soon."

Marcus beamed with happiness as he continued, "Dad also mentioned that he and Mom are planning to remarry."noveldrama

Natalie reached for Marcus' phone, where she could see the chat with Wesley.

Wesley had texted, "Marcus, you and Nattie should go on your honeymoon. Your mother and I have picked a few places for you. See which one Nattie likes, and take her there. While I'm around, enjoy some quality time together."

He included a link to the honeymoon travel suggestions with the best places to take one's partner.

Wesley shared many cities, each with a complete travel guide. It was clear he had thoughtfully planned this for them.

"I have a place we can go," Natalie

said as she sat up. "I've told you about it before. There are a few places I'd really like to take you Marcus, let's go to those first, and after that, we can check out the cities Dad suggested."

Marcus nodded. "Okay, I'll go wherever you want."
