The Tycoon's Secret Wife's Escape

Chapter 67

"M-Mr. Blake!" Mr. Weston immediately bowed, showing his respect to my husband

I swallowed hard, glancing at Grayson with a questioning look. "What's he doing here?"

My bodyguards, perhaps?

“I saw your secretary outside, Mr. Weston. She told me you're here," Grayson said calmly.

"Oh, yes, yes" Mr. Weston stammered. "I have a meeting with Ms. Isabella Prescott

Grayson's gaze shifted to me.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Blake," I greeted casually, hoping to remind him that I didn't want to give away any connection between us.

"You're still as stunning as ever, Ms. Prescott, Grayson's words sent heat rushing to my cheeks.

"Stop! My heart can't handle this

"Indeed she is, Mr. Blake!" Mr. Weston grinned.

More than anyone else in the room, Eliot and I sensed something unpleasant was brewing in Grayson's mind. He was planning something for Mr. Weston, but the idiot seemed oblivious!

"Go on, hubby. Make him pay!'

"So, you agree that Ms. Prescott is gorgeous?" Grayson asked Mr. Weston, his tone calculating.

"No! I mean-Mr. Weston's throat bobbed as he struggled to respond.

“Then what did I find earlier?" Grayson said, casually sitting on the couch, causing Mr. Weston to take an instinctive stept back as if burned. "Why did it seem like you were trying to hit Ms. Prescott?

"No, of course not, Mr. Blake!" Mr. Weston quickly denied, his voice laced with panic. "W-we just didn't reach an agreement properly. He seemed to be scrambling for an excuse. "Ah, yes, if you're interested in Ms. Prescott, I'm willing to give her to

you...

"Willing?" I cut in; disgust evident in my voice. "Mr. Weston, since when did I become your possession?"

"Brat! Shut up!" he spat, glaring at me while holding back the urge to lash out. Then he turned to Grayson. "That is Mr. Blake! You should be grateful that he's complimented you like that! You should be used to it by now. We both know how this works-you'd ended up sleeping with me to secure the contract! I'm offering you a better option and will hand you over to Mr. Blake. Stop pretending, girl!"

Grayson slammed the glass onto the table with a force that made Mr. Weston jump.

My husband's cold eyes flicked to the lemonade, then asked, "Did you purchase this?"

"Y-yes" Mr. Weston stammered, his body trembling

Grayson turned to me, his voice dangerously calm. "Is that true? Do you want to sleep with him"

"Of course not! Why would I? When he touched my leg. I punched him to keep him away?"

"He touched you?" Grayson's eyes reveal that he's far from pleased, cutting like steel as he glanced at the two bodyguards near the door. Without a word, they moved, gripping Mr. Weston's shoulders and forcing him into a single chair. Chapter 67

"Something interests me, Mr. Weston. Why would a tech company like Elevate want to endorse a boyband? What's the connection between pop singers and your line of business?"

My jaw dropped as I turned to Grayson, startled. "Uh, Mr. Weston told my assistant the company would use the boyband's personalities to create action duracters for their gaming app. That's why I agreed to the deal"

Grayson's expression transformed into something terrifying

Eliot cleared his throat nervously. "Ma'am, I regret to inform you that the gaming

app is still confidential and cannot be disclosed publicly

A wave of anger surged through me. "You were trying to scam us" I snapped at

Mr. Weston. "How many other women have you tried this with?"

The pieces of Mr. Weston's schiene fell into place. He'd fabricated this collaboration proposal, counting on Sophia and me being too naive to see through

it. His plan was simple pressure me into sleeping with him for the contract, then back out of the deal by claiming that Elevate had decided to cancel the collaboration.

"M-Mr. Blake, I'm sorry! Please don't tell the big boss" the secretary whimpered, "This was all Mr. Weston's idea. I can't lose this job-I need it desperately!"noveldrama

"Shut the hell up, you ungrateful-" Mr. Weston snarled, but his words faltered as his gaze met Grayson's cold, unyielding

Mare

I clenched my fists, anger and determination mixing in my chest. Yes, I'd struggled

in this industry, but I refused to let that define me. I would prove myself capable, no matter what

"Drink this!" I thrust the lemonade toward Mr. Weston before turning to Eliot with a pointed look. "Order fifty bottles of the cheapest vodka this bar has"

“Yes, ma'am” Eliot responded with a silent nod, straightening his posture immediately.

"What exactly are you planning? And why choose the cheapest vodka?" Grayson asked, his confusion evident.

"I refuse to spend more than necessary on someone like him," I replied, practically grinding my teeth as I glared at Mr.

Weston.

"You-"He lunged forward in an attempt to attack, but the two bodyguards behind him swiftly restrained him back to his

scal.

"Mr. Blake, can't you see through her act? She's nothing but a fraud, pretending to be modest! Haven't you seen what people are saying about her on social media? She's nothing but a seductress using her body to get powerful men, giving her status" he spat venomously.

Before anyone could react, servers began entering the room, one after another, carrying trays of liquor. Mr. Weston's eyes widened in panic

"M-Mr. Blake, surely you're not going to side with her?" he pleaded, his voice shaking as he looked desperately at Grayson. "Here's the thing," Grayson said casually. "I happen to be the type of man who trusts his wife's judgment completely." "Exactly! That's what I'm say-" Mr. Weston froze as the words registered. "Wait... what?" he stammered, his gaze darting between Grayson and me. His complexion paled as the realization struck him-he'd been insulting "Mrs. Blake'

He grabbed a boule from the tray and began chugging it like drowning his shame in the cheap liquor.

Grayson turned to me, his expression softening. He stroked my hair gently and said, “Don't let it bother you. People like him will always exist. This won't be the last time, but consider this a lesson in staying vigilant."

His words stung because I'did want to prove myself. But moments like this reminded me that greed and cruelty were all too.common. I swore to myself-this would be the last time.

"Come here," Grayson murmured.

Allowing the moment to take over, I sank into his embrace, settling onto his lap. "Whatever!"

I needed comfort, and I would take it from my husband.

"Hubby, be hurt my feelings," I said, adopting a playful, childlike tone to hint at my vulnerability.

"Drink up. Mr. Weston, Grayson commanded, his tone calm but laced with menace. "My guards will make sure you savor every penny my wife sperm."

Meeting Grayson's devilish gaze, Mr. Weston froze, a shiver running down his spine.

He lifted me effortlessly as we left the room.

A familiar figure emerged in the adjacent VIP suite-Asher Reid, his arm casually draped around another woman. He glanced at me and gave a curt nod, his expression annoyingly nonchalant.

"This fcker!"

He kept cheating on Cassie, and it infuriated me. I could only hope their wedding never happened... for her sake!

It never did... but I never imagined it would break and shatter my heart

completely. My best friend is hiding secrets from me that I will soon uncover.
