Unforgettable love

Chapter 767

Chapter 767:.

Armand was still in the hospital, so Theresa didn’t stay home long because she had to go back to the hospital to take care of Armand.

Elizabeth said, “Don’t worry. I’m well taken care of now.”

Theresa nodded. She told the new caregiver to take good care of Elizabeth.

“Sure, don’t worry,” Dora said.

Abbott hadn’t left the Bernie Mansion when Theresa left the house, so he went to find Theresa at the hospital before he left.

Theresa discovered that Boyce was there when she arrived at the hospital. It was originally Boyce’s responsibility, but he was swamped at work since Officer Miller left. He was only able to go to the hospital when he got off work.

Boyce was told that Elizabeth was discharged after he arrived at the hospital. So he went to visit Armand in his ward.

Armand told Boyce that Theresa helped him with the discharge procedure.

Boyce felt relief. He glared at Armand and sneered, “Will you stop acting already?”

Armand laughed bitterly, “I’m afraid it will kill me if I keep acting.”

“Why, have you heard?” Boyce didn’t understand what Armand was referring to.

Armand couldn’t explain why. He was afraid of losing Theresa, “No…”

At the same time, Theresa entered the room. She asked Armand, “What are you talking about?”

Armand replied, “Nothing. I was asking him what his newlywed life was like.” Armand purposely changed the subject and diverted attention to Boyce. Boyce was speechless.

Theresa said, “Boyce, you got married in such a hurry. I haven’t even prepared a gift for you.”

“Well, you can give me the gift some other time,” Boyce said, “Since you’re back, then I’ll go now.”

Boyce got up. He wanted to leave the space for Armand and Theresa.

Armand insulted Boyce, “Are you sure you didn’t leave because you miss your newly-minted wife?”

Boyce felt like slapping Armand. He rolled his eyes and said, “I forgive you for Theresa today.”

Armand laughed, “Don’t you think my injuries should be the reason you’re forgiving me?”

Boyce scoffed, “You don’t deserve it.”

Boyce then said goodbye to Theresa and left the room.

Theresa approached and asked Armand if he was feeling better.

Armand replied, “I’m feeling better,” and then had Theresa sit down next to him, “Are you tired?”

Theresa shook her head, “I’m not.”

“You looked tired.”

Armand could see the exhaustion on Theresa’s face. She had not rested well the last few days. Armand patted Theresa’s hand, “Theresa, let’s go register for the marriage tomorrow, and then go home.”

They’d had a wedding reception last time, but they hadn’t registered for marriage.

“You’re not recovered yet,” Theresa didn’t want him to overthink it.

“I’m fine. I can rest at home, too. I can come to the hospital to take the gauze off my head wound later. It’s boring at the hospital.” “Does your doctor agree?” asked Theresa.

Armand replied, “The doctor agreed. I’ve asked him before.”

“Then have it your way,” Theresa said.

“Theresa, you’re the best,” Armand lifted Theresa’s hand and kissed her hand, “You took care of me while I’m the one who should be taking care of you. I feel guilty about that.”

Theresa pouted. After a while, she replied, “We’re family. Don’t act like a stranger. If you feel guilty about it, then treat me better.”

Armand got out of bed. He felt a tingle as he touched some of his wounds, but showed none of it. He hugged Theresa and crawled into her arms. Theresa was afraid to touch his wounds, so she didn’t dare hug him back. Theresa sat down next to the bed and said, “Armand, you’re like a child.”

Armand rubbed his face in Theresa’s arms, “Then I will be your son.” Theresa was speechless.

“Nonsense,” Theresa couldn’t help but laugh.

She patted Armand’s back lightly, and he acted innocent, “It hurts! I need some love.”

“Stop fooling around. You’re in the hospital now,” Theresa asked Armand to get up, and he did, “I’ll ask the nurse to put a bed in the room. You can rest here at night. You haven’t rested well the last few days, am I right? I’ve seen the heavy dark circle under your eyes.”

“Okay,” Theresa replied.

Theresa slept in the extra bed at night. She slept peacefully because she had not rested well the last few days. Armand, on the other hand, could not sleep. He got out of bed and walked over to Theresa’s, then looked at her in the dim light.

Armand knew Theresa was unhappy about committing to having children.

Armand stroked Theresa’s hair and smiled. It showed that Theresa loved him and cared about him when he was committed to having children. She didn’t want to see him tortured by Elizabeth.

Armand slept next to Theresa that night.

At the same time, Matthew came out of a business meeting. Abbott was originally the manager of this project, but he resigned and couldn’t find anyone to replace him, so he had to take over the project himself.

That’s why he left work late.

Dolores was still awake. She was waiting for Matthew. Besides, Dolores slept too much during the day, so she didn’t feel tired at night.

“Don’t wait up. You should go to bed early.”

Dolores said, “I waited because I have something to tell you.”

“What is it?” Matthew took off his coat and put it on the chair. Then, he turned to Dolores.

Dolores handed Matthew the invitation on the table, “Take a look at it.”

It looked like a wedding invitation, as it was pink. Matthew opened it and found that his presumption was correct. The wedding was tomorrow, and it invited Matthew and Dolores to the wedding.

Matthew frowned, “But you…”.

“It’s inappropriate not to go,” Dolores glared at Matthew.

Matthew set the invitation on the floor and sat on the side of the bed. He tugged at his shirt collar and Dolores helped him unbutton his collar. “Are you loaded today, have you been drinking?”

Matthew said, “I had a little to drink. I had to. It was business. Abbott is resigning and I can’t find a replacement yet.”

Dolores was surprised, “Why did Abbott resign?”

Matthew wasn’t sure why Abbott resigned either. But it was obvious that he couldn’t concentrate and kept making mistakes at work. He really needed some time off.

“What do you think?” Matthew knew Dolores wanted to go to the wedding.

Dolores was worried, too. After all, she wasn’t exactly in the pink of health, and her due date was near.

Matthew was also overwhelmed with work. Dolores didn’t want to bother him.noveldrama

“I’ll call them tomorrow morning,” Dolores helped Matthew take off his shirt, “Go shower and rest. It’s getting late.”

Matthew stared at Dolores for a while, but ended up not saying anything to her. Then he got up and went into the bathroom.

When Matthew came out of the shower, Dolores was almost asleep. The air conditioning wasn’t on and Dolores was feeling hot, so she didn’t put on a blanket. Dolores was wearing a white nightgown. She lay flat and her belly looked huge. Matthew came over. He leaned over and caressed Dolores’ belly.

Dolores tugged on Matthew’s shirt.

Matthew looked at Dolores and asked, “What’s the matter, didn’t you want me to touch it?”.

Dolores smiled. She shook her head and said softly, “No. It’s a tickle.”
