Unforgettable love

Chapter 784

Chapter 784:

“Yes, she is. what is she delivering?” Dora glanced at the lunch box in her hands.

The delivery man said, “Okay. Could you tell her to sign for it?”

Armand walked over and said, “Let me do it on your behalf.”

The delivery man handed him the lunch box and the signature form. Armand took them and signed. He asked, “Who ordered it?”.

“I’m sorry, but I don’t know either.” The delivery man took the signature form and turned away.

Armand carried the lunch box into the living room, set it on the table and opened it.

Theresa turned slowly and asked, “What’s that?”

“Some food.” Opening the box, Armand pulled out the food: all the dainty desserts. Even each of the small package boxes were quite nice, which were designed and packed with care.

“It’s a dessert. You have a sweet tooth. Come, choose one.” Armand was delighted. Theresa wanted to eat something sweet but the lunch box was delivered, though she didn’t know who had made it.

Armand took two that might whet her appetite.

Theresa made no choice. “Who sent it?” she asked.

“I asked the delivery man, but he didn’t know. could it be Dolores? She knew you were having surgery today, so she sent them.” Armand made a guess. He thought it must be from one of his friends.

Theresa blinked and couldn’t imagine anyone else either. Elizabeth had already spoiled her appetite. “I don’t have an appetite now. I want to take a nap.”

Armand understood. He said, “All right. Go on. I’ll wait for you outside.”

Elizabeth had already asked Dora to pull her aside.

Armand left the room and waited sitting on the bench outside.

Theresa was quite tired. Dizzy, she was quite sleepy. Just then, she heard the message tone of her phone on the bedside table. She didn’t move or pick it up. After a while, she heard the message tone again. After a moment’s hesitation, she reached out to pick up the phone: it was an instant message from Oscar.

He was sending her a GIF of a frightened dog. Then he asked her: [Did you get the gift I gave you?]

Then he replied: [What did you send me?]

[Some desserts. When we were chatting a few days ago, you said you were going to do an operation today…. I heard that it’s quite difficult for a woman to do it. I wanted to give you the desserts to put you out of your misery. Haven’t you received it yet?].

Theresa glanced at the delicate and beautiful desserts on the table, feeling quite warm in her heart. When she was emotionally fragile, someone still cared about her, which made her feel so satisfied and touched.

She curved her lips into a smile and replied, [Yes, I have.]

[Do you like them?]

Theresa quickly replied, [Yes].

Then she added: [They’re very tasty!]

Oscar replied with an emoji to express his happiness.

Theresa laughed as she looked at the screen.

Oscar sent another message: [I got bitten by a dog].

Theresa immediately replied: [Are you okay?]

[I’m fine. I bit that dog to death]. Theresa choked.

[Haha…I’m fiercer than a dog?]

Looking at the screen, Theresa couldn’t help but laugh, thinking Oscar was too hilarious.

[Good girl, don’t feel stressed. It’s the 21st century now. Not having a child is not a big deal. Those celebrities even prefer to be DINK. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself, okay?”]

Theresa covered her nose, feeling sore and bitter for some reason. She snorted and replied, [Okay.]

[Last time you designed a dress for a lady. Yesterday she came to the store and wanted to see you. I told her you were too busy. She recognized your skill. You are wonderful].

Theresa stood quietly staring at the screen.

Later, Oscar sent her another message: [Rest well. If you feel bad, talk to me. I always have time for you].

Theresa replied, [Okay, I will].

She put the phone away after holding it for a brief moment.

Back at the villa…

After taking care of his work, Matthew canceled two business parties and returned home.

Amanda and Andrew were still at school.

During the day, several adults in the village took care of the little baby.

In particular, Coral liked him a lot.

So did Jayden. He hadn’t seen Andrea and Amanda when they were little, so he was trying to make up for it with this newborn baby.

The baby was supposed to sleep all day, but Coral liked to hold him when he was free. Each time, Jayden would say, “Coral, go make formula. I’ll hold him.”

Her older grandchildren had left for school, so she wanted to take care of the youngest.noveldrama

Then, Coral would pass the baby to him in disgust.

The baby was still sleeping, so he didn’t need to drink formula. Coral believed that Jayden was just making an excuse to take the baby himself.

Jessica said to Dolores, “Too bad Andrew and Amanda were little. You were so busy and I was taking care of them by myself. I didn’t have much time to hold them. When they were that small, they spent their days lying in bed.”

I had to wash the babies’ cloth diapers and dirty clothes when they slept. Sometimes they would wake up together and cry together. I had to take them by each arm and coax them.

Right now, the whole family was taking care of the youngest baby.

Dolores reached for Jessica’s hand. She said, “Mom, thank you so much for helping me raise them.”

“I am your mother. Don’t be silly.”

Dolores smiled. She picked up her purse and said, “I’m leaving now.”

It was time for Theresa’s surgery at the hospital, so Dolores wanted to visit her. Theresa’s family was overseas, so Dolores took herself as Theresa’s only family domestically.

Jessica agreed. “You just finished confinement. Be careful.” Dolores said yes.

When she walked out the door, the driver had been waiting for her. As he watched her get out, he opened the door for her and she bent down to sit in the car.

Soon after, Jessica heard the door open. She put away the baby’s clean clothes. She thought Dolores had forgotten something, so she went back.

Jessica turned around and said, “What did you forget…?”.

Before she finished her words, she saw that it was Matthew coming in, so she swallowed all her unfinished words and asked, “Matthew, you’re back.” Matthew responded with a hum.

“I’m back earlier than usual,” he said.

As he spoke, Matthew put on his slippers and turned to Jayden, who was standing at the window while holding his youngest grandchild.

Reaching out, he said, “Dad, let me hold him.”

Jayden looked up at him and asked, “Did you wash your hand?” Matthew choked up.
