Unforgettable love

Chapter 790

Chapter 790:

Armand paused a little and continued, “If it is destined that we cannot have children, we must accept it peacefully. We must not insist.”

Theresa didn’t mention Elizabeth, which might have repercussions for their current environment.

Anderson Smith knocked on the door. It was the lawyer who had just received the woman.

He asked Armand if he had decided to help the woman.

Armand said, “I didn’t say no or yes.

It would depend.

Anderson said, “I was told it’s both good and bad if we decide to represent her. It’s like a double-edged sword with advantages and disadvantages. If we won, our firm would get another reputational boost. If not, we would be doomed. After all, the family you want to sue is no ordinary family.”

Armand asked, “What do you mean?”noveldrama

In the past, Armand cared about fame and interest. Now, he doesn’t. If the woman’s daughter was forced to commit suicide, Armand would take the case.

No matter who the other party was, no one could defy the law.

“I suggest not taking the case. At least we can keep what we have now. Once we fail…”

“Anderson, I know what you mean. I’ll think about it,” Armand interrupted him and said, “You know me well. Even though it’s been a while since I’ve tried a case in person, I have my principles.”

Anderson reminded him, “When you try the case, you will offend them.”

Armand said, “I know.”

Anderson let out a sigh. “Okay. Please think twice.”

After finishing his words, he turned and left the room.

After Anderson left, Theresa walked over and asked Armand, “What do you think?”

Armand did not answer her. Pulling Theresa out of the room, he asked the receptionist, “Has the woman now left any contact forms?”

“She filled out the registration form when she got here. We have her address.” The receptionist showed him the registration. Then Armand put it on the desk and walked out of the office while holding Theresa’s hand.

Theresa didn’t understand what he was planning to do, so she asked, “What do you want?”

“I want to take this case.”

Theresa asked, “Why, I realize Anderson wanted to talk you out of accepting it.”

“There’s no reason. I just thought that, if a woman was willing to die with her own child, it must be because she had been forced into the cul-de-sac. I want to know the truth of this case and seek justice for the dead,” Armand replied as he walked.

Theresa did not speak. Inwardly, she supported him.

A fair lawyer was a good lawyer.

They drove to the woman’s house.

The woman’s family was on the outskirts of Fifth Circle. It was a three-story house with a small yard, in front of which was a temporary burial shed. The dead had not yet been buried. In front of the coffin, there were two cinerary coffins, which were covered with a red cloth.

The woman who had just been in the buffet was crying in front of the coffin.

A few people were standing next to her. They must have been relatives or close friends of hers.

After parking the car, as Armand and Theresa were about to approach, they saw several cars arrive. They didn’t stop until they reached the entrance, right in front of the funeral home shed.

Soon more than a dozen people got out.

Seeing them, the woman became quite excited. “Why are they here?”

The man in the lead wore a suit, and gave the impression of a successful man. He exuded temperament with his every move. He said ruthlessly, “He’s my son. Of course, I must take him.”

This man was the former son-in-law of that middle-aged woman, the former husband of the dead woman.

The woman burst into tears. “Your son? You have been totally lured by that temptress! How can you still care about your son? Your son is dead…”

Before she finished speaking, the man pinched her neck. “If it wasn’t for your daughter, how could my son die?”

“You fucking bastard!” Just then, the dead woman’s younger brother pounced on him.

The man had brought some experienced bodyguards, who were quite skilled in fighting. Before the young man could get close, he was knocked down. He fell in front of the coffin and knocked over the pile of burning offerings to the dead.

A tall, slender, good-looking woman standing next to the man noticed the entanglement and approached. She picked up the smaller coffin. Seeing the larger one, she purposely knocked it over. With a loud noise, the coffin fell to the ground and broke. All the relatives of the dead were irritated. They stood in a circle around them all of a sudden.

Chaos ensued in front of the funeral shed. With the help of the bodyguards, the woman approached the man in the suit with the small coffin in his arms. She told him, “I didn’t want to do it.”

The man was not angry that his ex-wife’s casket was broken. Instead, he picked up his son’s and said, “Let’s go.”

The bodyguards helped them sit in the car protectively.

They soon drove off, leaving behind a chaotic scene. Many family members were injured. Those bodyguards were very powerful. They could not win against those bodyguards at all.

They were all lying on the ground, crying and moaning miserably.

Theresa and Armand were watching the scene not far away from them. Armand also took the video of what had just happened.

“Was the woman from a moment ago that mistress?” Theresa could tell that she knocked over the coffin on purpose. That woman was too vicious.

Armand said, “I guess so.”

Since the man’s ex-wife could be forced to die, the mistress had to be a schemer.

“Armand, you must help this family. The Day Family has gone too far.”

He watched the middle-aged woman cry as she held her daughter’s coffin.

Armand sighed. “I want to help them, but they must cooperate.”

It seemed the woman could do nothing but shed tears. She had no idea how to help them.

“Shall we get closer?” asked Theresa.

Armand said, “Wait a minute. Let’s go when they’ve calmed down. If we go ask them about the case right now, I’m afraid we won’t be able to get any information.”

Theresa said, “Okay, I agree with you.”

It was a weekend and Boyce was on vacation. He deliberately came back to visit Jasmine from another city.

However, Jasmine did not know Boyce was coming back, as he had not called her. Over the weekend, since Boyce was not home, she signed up for an outdoor activity organized by the school.

After receiving Boyce’s call, Jasmine knew he was back in town.

“Why didn’t you call me sooner?” complained Jasmine as she sat on a rock by the creek. At that moment, she was on a mountain. She had finished setting up a tent with her companions.

Boyce’s companion suggested that he go back without telling Jasmine first to surprise her. Boyce thought she would like it. To his surprise, Jasmine came out because she didn’t know of his return.

Boyce asked, “Where are you now?”

Jasmine replied, “At South Mountain. I heard that the sunrise here is very beautiful. My classmates and I came to see the sunrise…”

“I’ll come and look for you there.” After finishing his words, Boyce hung up the phone, got into his car and set out to meet Jasmine at South Mountain.
