"Well..." Rankin skimmed and said in a pretentious girlish tone, "Victor, my prince charming, you are so cold... Ohh..."

"That's enough." Victor was so disgusted by Rankin's tone that he got goosebumps. And he could only go over and jokingly push Rankin. "Come on, enough about Elinor. I don't really want to hear about this person."

"Oh." Rankin fixed his frame and laughed, "So let's talk about something else. I heard you just promised Darleen you'd come to the party?"

"Hmm."

Victor flipped through the sheets of paper as if casually, "I actually don't really want to go. But the idea and creativity are good..."

"This good idea is what Elinor came up with." Rankin said with a smirk, "Victor, you're still not honest enough."

Victor raised his eyebrows, "Do you think I won't beat you up because I'm on good terms with you?"

"Hahaha."

Rankin laughed arrogantly, "Yeah, that's what I think."

"Rankin, I guess you've been too comfortable lately." Victor squinted and asked.

"How can I compare ourselves to our genius Victor?"

Rankin blinked, "Well, tell me. How exactly are you going to make an appearance at that party?"

"The same as usual."

Victor knocked on the desk with his long fingers, "Actually, I will only come by to see what's going on. I have to leave the country the next day."

window. Then he looked at the view Then outside the floor-to-ceiling window and murmured, "Even after reading so many specialized books, you can't read people's hearts like everyone else."

"Because you can't read them, you want to continue, right?"

Rankin came over and blocked Victor's line of sight, "Hey, haven't you ever thought of going back to inherit your father's company?"

Victor's eyes flashed. Then he lowered his head and turned away his look. The profile of his face was so handsome but long. He looked at Rankin who was sitting there with a wry smile, and explained, "I'm not a Borris. Why would I want to manage his business?"

"You are stubborn."

Rankin sighed, "I know you are not comfortable in your heart. But I think your father's life can be written as an amazing biography. You don't need to keep holding a grudge against him."

"It's not about holding a grudge. It's just that I'm used to this."

Victor subconsciously rubbed his brow as Dixon always did, "I've seen too many things along the way. So, I still think about the past."

It was probably because of Elinor, that Victor kept thinking about the past. If Elinor didn't exist, then Victor might still be able to easily step over the hurdle and had the family affection with Dixon.

So, to some extent, Elinor was the fault.

But Victor did not say this frankly.

He just stared out of the window and had a bird's eye view of the whole college. He buried all his emotions deep into his heart. And then he closed his eyes. However, he could not wipe that beautiful smile away from his mind.
