Rejected the alpha mate 240
Chapter 240
Chapter 240
Third POV
“This is stupid!” Daisy fumed as she flopped on the couch in her room. “How could Tamara take that little scum to Alpha’s house? This is the opposite of what I was thinking!”
Her friend, Haley, sat on the couch beside her. “I was hoping that Tamara would take quick action and disqualify Summer, but she’s a moron. She took her to the Alpha’s house, and has put her under his protection. The pack members are going to hate her. Ugh! What a moron! She doesn’t deserve to be a Luna. You have to rule the pack members with an iron fist. Not show compassion!”
“That’s right,” another friend of hers, Jade, said. “And why is Tamara even helping Summer? Is it because Bradley has a special interest in Summer? Doesn’t she understand that the Alpha’s love to have many partners. He is interested in Summer only because he gets to taste a new experience with a human.”
“Exactly my thoughts!” Daisy ranted.
“But our plan worked well,” Jade giggled. “No one even came to know how smoothly we added the mixture of deadly nightshade and belladonna in the last batch of her pasta.”
“Shhh! Keep your voice down!” Daisy scolded her, but the next moment she began laughing. “I swear. Summer’s such a moron. While she was busy serving the pack members, you and Haley took the opportunity. I was hoping for her to get disqualified immediately, but Tamara came in between. Well, I’m sure that she will be disqualified soon. We just have to wait for a while.”
“And then we all can prove that we are superior to that human bitch. And that too a maid. Had it been Laura, I wouldn’t have mind competing against her,” Haley scoffed.
“That’s what? I’m pissed that the judge gave her maximum marks for the first contest and she won. Then Bradley went all Alpha over her nest,” Daisy fumed.
Haley nudged her shoulder. “Come on, we all know that you have eyes on Alpha Bradley.”
Jade started giggling. “Yes, we know how you get moon eyes for him.”
“Hush!” Daisy blushed. “I like Bradley. I mean who wouldn’t? He is so handsome, and is the strongest Alpha of the North. He is stronger than his father. And it would be a shame if he gets mated to a human.” She looked at her nails and brushed them with an air of superiority. “I will do my best to throw Summer out of the contest. She could go and fuck other butlers and stewards of the human world. Bradley would come to his senses once she is out of
the race. He wouldn’t even think of her.”
Jade and Haley burst out laughing. “You’re slaying this!” Jade said.
Daisy tipped her head up slightly. Ever since Summer had entered the contest, she had noticed how Bradley took interest in Summer. When she was coming for the Luna trials, her father, Alpha of the Grayson pack, had specifically told her to keep her eyes on the prize. Alpha Bradley Vaslof. He had told her to make sure that she seduced him well during the trials. So she tried to do that, but it didn’t work. She would wear suggestive clothes, try to be near him or give him those sultry looks as if she meant to flirt with him, but nothing worked. It was like she didn’t exist for him. He had eyes only for Summer. That irked her. How could he give her all the attention even though the trials weren’t over? It was like he was favoring her.
When nothing worked, she asked her father to send the poison from the pack, explaining to him the whole situation. And then she cleverly asked Ja and Haley to help her, telling them that if she became the Luna of the Shadowfang pack, she would give them and their packs special status and ensure that they have free trade with it forever. Though she wasn’t going to do anything of the sort. Jade and Haley were a means to an end.
She looked at them as they laughed, internally scoffing at their stupidity. Jade picked up a grape from the tray on the table and curled her legs up. “Hey, we have a week now. What do you plan on doing?”
Daisy let out a lazy exhale. “I need to sleep, then I’ll go for spa, and after that, I’m planning to shop a little. All these trials have had a toll on me.” But in reality, she was going to wait for Summer getting disqualified.
“Oh wow!” Haley said. “Why don’t we all go for the spa together?”
1/2
“Ew!” Daisy protested. “I can’t go for a spa with company. I like to be alone.”
Jade laughed again. “Okay… we get it…” Then she got up. “I’m gonna sleep for the next two days. I’m so mentally and physically hanked. We ha fuck puts a cooking contest in the Luna trials?” She rolled her eyes.
“When do you think they will disqualify her?” Haley asked.
“Anytime soon,” Daisy replied. “They wouldn’t want to look like fools for delaying the judgment”
“True…” Jade replied, yawning. She walked toward the door. “See you babel” Haley also got up and went out with Jade, both of them talking about the cooking contest.noveldrama
Daisy leaned back on the couch, recalling how the contest went. She loathed how all the pack members flocked to Summer’s regular pasta, white she sat there with her exotic dishes. Hers was one of the least appreciated tables. She gritted her teeth, murmuring curses. “Whore! She thinks she can entice Alpha Bradley? She doesn’t know what it takes to be a Luna. See how I make a mess out of your life, Summer!”
The entire day even as she stayed in her room, hoping to catch some sleep, she couldn’t. There was no news from the judges whether they had disqualified Summer or not. In the evening when she went down for dinner, she heard people talking amongst themselves about the whole incident. She kept her head low as she walked to the buffet.
“You think she will be disqualified?” Damon’s voice made her jump.
Daisy’s heart beat increased. She placed her hand on her heart and said, “You made me jump!”
He chuckled. “So do you?” he asked, raising his eyebrow.
“I hope she gets excluded. After all, it isn’t right to poison the pack members. It’s criminal.” She took a ladle of pea soup in her bowl.
Damon scratched his chin. “I hope she is excluded.”
Daisy’s lips lifted in a smile. People were in her favor.
“Well, if she poisoned, then she should be,” he added.
Daisy shrugged nonchalantly even though she was excited inside that people had fallen for her little trick. Soon Summer would be eliminated.
That night, she couldn’t sleep well, wondering what Summer must be doing in Alpha’s house. She hoped that they kept her in the dungeons.
Next day, she came down early to find out about the final decision for Summer. There wasn’t. It irritated her, but she waited patiently. They must be gathering evidence. For the next two days, nothing happened, and she was at her wits end. By evening she demanded the organizers to tell their decision about Summer.
What do you think?
