Girl Get Rid Of That Jerk (Williams and Shawn)

Chapter 437

Shawn's expression went cold. "Allison, you know I love you."

Allison let out a laugh, light but biting. "Really? Wasn't it you sneaking around with Kate behind my back? Didn't your mom adore her, always saying she was perfect for you? Now Kate's pregnant with your kid and suddenly you don't want her?"

"You... you know about that?" Shawn's voice wavered, panic flashing in his eyes. "Allison, please don't be mad. Let me explain. I was drunk that night—I thought she was you, I swear, that's the only reason..."

"Save it." Allison cut him off, her face full of disdain. "Don't flatter yourself. I only brought it up because I think it's hilarious. You all treated me like trash, and now karma's come for you. Watching you squirm is honestly the highlight of my week."

"Alright, that's enough. Shawn, get out," Grant said, voice low and firm. "Allison and I have business to discuss."

"Dad-"

"I said out."

...

After Allison and Grant finished talking about the case, she made her way downstairs—and found Shawn still loitering by the door.

"Allison, can we talk?" Shawn rushed over, desperation all over his face.

She didn't even slow down. "There's nothing left to say."

"Allison, I know I don't deserve your forgiveness, but—"

"Get out of my way," she snapped. "Keep following me and you'll regret it." "Allison, just listen-"

She shot Brooklyn a meaningful look.

Brooklyn stepped forward and shoved Shawn aside with enough force that he staggered, nearly falling over.

Shawn looked like he wanted to argue, but one glare from Brooklyn shut him up fast.

Allison slid into the car.

"Where to, boss?" Brooklyn asked.

"Back to the firm."

"Got it."

Soon enough, it was time for Grant's divorce hearing.

Inside the courtroom, Allison was fierce-she argued every point with confidence, never giving the opposing lawyer a chance to catch his breath

It didn't take long for the judge to rule: divorce denied.

After court, outside on the courthouse steps-

Grant was all smiles. "Seriously, thank you. I owe you one."

Allison smiled back. "Just doing my job, Mr. Grant. By the way, if the first divorce request is denied, the law says you can't get divorced untes you and Cindy live apart for a full year. So, my advice? Don't move

out."

Grant nodded. "I'll stay somewhere else for a few days and then head home."

"Exactly. Just make sure you're not separated for a year."

"Understood."

Suddenly, Cindy stormed over, her face twisted with rage. "Allison, you bitch!noveldrama

Don't you dare walk away from me-we're not finished!"

Allison frowned, turning to face her.

Cindy lunged, hand raised to slap Allison.

But Allison was faster. She grabbed Cindy's wrist with her left hand and smacked her hard across the face with her right The sound echoed in the air. Gontent

Cindy's cheek turned bright red instantly.

"You hit me?!" Cindy shrieked.

Before she could do anything else, Allison's left hand landed a slap on Cindy's other cheek.

"You-" Cindy barely got the word out before Allison hit her with two more quick slaps, one after the other.

Cindy was stunned, completely dazed.

"Cindy, take my advice-don't overestimate yourself." Allison's eyes were ice-cold, her words cutting.

Cindy's face was swollen and red on both sides, tears of anger and humiliation streaming down.

Grant just stared. He'd never imagined Allison could be so tough-he always thought she was just a sweet, delicate girl.

By the time he snapped out of it, Allison was already walking away.

Cindy, still fuming, tried to charge after her, but Grant grabbed her arm. "Stop it! We're in front of the courthouse!"

Cindy started sobbing. "Grant, you heartless jerk! Your wife just got slapped and you just stood there? Get away from me! Don't touch me!"
