Living With My Lady Boss

Chapter 2488

Therefore, the Dark Messenger believed that instead of seeking protection from powerful cultivators of a higher dimension, or protection from evil gods, none of it mattered as much as growing his own power. The Dark Messenger believed that only by becoming powerful could one change their own destiny.

The Dark Messenger considered the middle dimensions to be a mere stepping stone. However, after battling the Child of Light and falling into the lower dimension, everyone assumed that he was defeated. No one knew that it was all a part of his plan. The Dark Messenger knew that to absorb dark energy, he had to find a place with a lot of dark energy.

The dark energy in the lower dimension far exceeded the dark energy in the middle dimension. The Dark Messenger's true form, the Dark Lord, had absorbed vast amounts of dark energy throughout centuries of cultivation. His power was far beyond ordinary cultivators.

Earth would be consumed by darkness if he succeeded, and it would become the stronghold of the Dark Lord. The ninth evil god in the universe, the Dark Lord, would also be born.

A flash of white light passed before Wilbur's eyes in the magical tower, and he arrived on the fifth level. The sky was fiery red, and beneath him was an endless volcanic region with numerous erupting volcanoes. Red magma flowed continuously, and the volcanic ash from the eruptions formed dark clouds in the sky.

Lightning flickered among the dark clouds, emitting a rumbling sound. Just then, Wilbur noticed ten huge pterodactyls climbing out of the craters of the ten surrounding ring-shaped volcanoes.

The fiery red pterodactyls emerged from the craters, producing sharp, piercing sounds, and then spewed flames from their mouths. When Wilbur's gaze fell on one of the pterodactyls, it happened to be looking at him. Their eyes met, and the pterodactyl, having noticed Wilbur, let out an angry roar.

The roar alerted the others. Soon, all ten pterodactyls noticed Wilbur. They simultaneously flapped their wings and swooped towards him.

The pterodactyls were extremely fast. Wilbur dodged left and right because he was facing a large number of them. He avoided three pterodactyls but was struck and sent flying by the wing of one pterodactyl that came up from behind.

Wilbur fell out of the sky in a flash, plummeting toward the ground, and finally landing at the mouth of a volcano. He looked at the ten huge pterodactyls in the sky and found himself stuck in a difficult situation. Dealing with one pterodactyl was hard enough, let alone ten of them.

The pterodactyls swooped in again while he was thinking, and they breathed fire toward him from the sky.

The area was consumed by powerful scorching flames. Wilbur summoned a light shield with a thought and was soon enveloped in a sea of flames. Wilbur raised his right hand and converted the flame energy from the pterodactyls into the power of light and reinforced the shield.

The pterodactyls discovered that their flames could not harm Wilbur, so they hastily flapped their wings and swooped toward Wilbur to strike him down. The immense power of the pterodactyls as they crashed into the light shield shattered the shield. Wilbur was also sent flying into the air from the collision.

Three pterodactyls flew over at that moment, and they extended their claws to grab Wilbur. Wilbur seemed like a pitiful prey being tossed around by them in mid- air.noveldrama

Wilbur fought pterosaurs in the past, and he knew that while the pterosaurs were powerful, they had a fatal weakness. Their movements became very slow after losing their ability to fly. Surely these pterodactyls could be slain if they were dealt a heavy blow before they could take flight again.

Wilbur assessed the situation and decided that it had to be done within two seconds. There were ten pterodactyls present. While that might seem like a large number of pterodactyls, it was not the case. Due to their large size, they could not all participate in combat at the same time. Therefore, only three pterodactyls would be engaging him in combat at any given time.

Wilbur saw that the pterodactyls extend their claws, and having cultivated for forty-five years, he also wanted to find out how much he improved in cultivation. Therefore, he immediately unleashed the Light of Dragon and summoned a golden dragon that coiled around his right arm.
