Chapter 2494
The iron cage immediately lifted Wilbur into the air. The moment the imprisoning sensation vanished, Wilbur instinctively reached out to grab the iron net. However, as soon as his hands touched it, they began to freeze. Startled, he quickly pulled back and retreated a few steps.
Rising higher into the sky, Wilbur saw Aisha raise her staff and launch a beam of light at him. Trapped within the cage, Wilbur tried to summon the power of light to defend himself. However, he suddenly realized that his energy was being suppressed and he could not use his powers.
The next second, Aisha's beam struck his chest, but the shield of light absorbed the impact. Wilbur glanced down at the glowing shield around him, feeling a wave of relief.
As he looked up again, he saw Bahamut's massive mouth opening wide. In an instant, Wilbur was swallowed whole. Reflexively, he crouched into a defensive position. Darkness engulfed him, and when he turned to look, he saw Bahamut's enormous snake fangs behind him.
Patting his chest, Wilbur felt fortunate that he had not been torn apart by Bahamut's fangs, merely swallowed whole. Otherwise, he would likely be dead. However, his relief was short-lived as he quickly realized the predicament he was in. Trapped in the iron net formed by dark energy, he could not access his powers.
Without his abilities, he knew he would eventually be digested by Bahamut, dying a miserable death inside the serpent's belly. It was a humiliating end compared to falling in battle. Desperate, Wilbur threw himself against the iron net again, only to have his hands frozen once more. He quickly let go and stepped back, feeling defeated.
With his energy suppressed, Wilbur was no different from an ordinary person, doomed to wait for death inside the cage. Bahamut's intestines contracted, pushing Wilbur further down into the stomach.
The stomach was like a massive acidic pool, with bits of food dissolving all around. The stomach acid quickly rose and began to engulf Wilbur, who had been standing on higher ground. Seeing this, Wilbur sighed and resigned himself to closing his eyes.
However, something unexpected happened. The Light Helmet on his head began to emit a white glow. Around the white light, a faint gray aura appeared. Encased in this gray aura, the corrosive stomach acid could not harm Wilbur.
Wilbur was then pushed into the large intestine, which reeked with a foul stench. But, having just narrowly escaped death, Wilbur did not care about the smell. Instead, he was intensely curious about the gray aura surrounding him.
Why was this gray aura here?
It had just saved his life!
Wilbur's mind raced as he tried to figure out the origin of the gray aura. He soon recalled the battle with Aisha on Kook Island. At that time, remnants of the evil god's power had merged into the Light Helmet.
This integration had stripped the helmet of its invisibility power. It seemed that this gray aura was the evil god's power. After being absorbed by the Light Helmet, the evil god's power was suppressed by the Light Power and became a part of the helmet.
Realizing this, Wilbur felt a sense of relief. But then he thought again, puzzled. If the Light Armor could become invisible, and the Light Helmet had lost its invisibility due to absorbing Bahamut's dark energy, could the Light Gloves also be harboring an evil god's power?noveldrama
He then remembered the Light Armor he had found in Wearson Valley. Could that, too, have absorbed the power of the evil gods?
Was the entire set of Light Armor infused with the power of the eight evil gods? And if so, was this done to combat them?
What do you think?
