Wilbur could hear an ice-cold voice in the middle of the darkness. "F*cking bastard left me stuck here. It's been five thousand years... Finally, someone's going to awaken me. Hahaha!"noveldrama

A raucous peal of laughter mixed with the crashing of waves rang through the darkness as Wilbur opened his eyes blearily. He found that he was floating in the middle of the sea, and the support of his dragon aura was the only thing keeping him from sinking downwards.

Memories recounting everything that happened before Wilbur passed out flooded his mind as he looked around. Wilbur remembered the three Adams attacking him at the same time, and he managed to kill all of them in the end. The liquid woman used her third move after that, the Golem, and had swallowed him into her belly.

The inside of the Golem seemed like a strange, mysterious dimension. Wilbur could feel himself growing dizzy as he entered it, losing the ability to stand upright as he lost consciousness.

By the time he could sense the sunlight from outside again, Wilbur could clearly feel that his body was being controlled by someone else. Whoever was controlling him was surging with a tremendous amount of power and authority, and Wilbur hardly dared to speak in his face. It was only after that force had withdrawn that Wilbur finally regained control over his body and could immediately feel that his spirit energy had been completely drained.

An overwhelming wave of fatigue struck him, and Wilbur's eyes rolled back as he passed out.

Who had been the one controlling him?

The question popped up in Wilbur's head. He knew how cruel the liquid woman could be. He had not been able to defeat her Golem despite using all his powers, but that force had killed the Golem within a matter of seconds once it took over his body.

The force had drained all of Wilbur's spirit energy, perhaps in repayment for helping him out. In fact, the force's power had surpassed the restrictions of the Light Helmet as it had forcefully drained his spirit energy. Wilbur knew that this was extremely damaging to his body, but he would have probably done the same if it had been him in the heat of the moment.

After all, there was really no other choice when you were faced with a situation like that. Wilbur may have regained his consciousness then but was still feeling immensely drowsy as his body ached as well. It seemed like that move had taken up too much of his energy, and maybe even much more.

That special skill had burdened his body with a powerful backlash after being cast. The thought made Wilbur take out a Thunder-type Healing Pill, promptly swallowing it. He leaped out of the water after that, sitting cross-legged in mid-air as he began to restore his body.

Wilbur had thought that his body would heal in just two hours as he had taken the Thunder-type Healing Pill, but he had only recovered half his strength after two hours. With no other choice, Wilbur had to take another pill.

Wilbur had to take a total of five Thunder-type healing Pills, meditating for a whole day before his body was fully restored. He found this rather strange, furrowing his brows and wondering what had happened.

Wilbur looked around him, but there was nothing aside from the endless seas and a white vortex of light in the sky. The vortex at least proved that Wilbur had passed the ninth level of the magical tower.

Despite the fact that Wilbur had not actually taken the liquid woman's final move on his own, he had at least passed the challenge. If Tenin had been telling the truth, this meant that there would be hope for Earth after all.

As he was worried about Earth, Wilbur did not stay on the ninth level of the magical tower for too long. Upon making sure that his body had completely recovered, Wilbur flew out of the vortex and returned to the Arcane Formation. He turned around and saw the magical tower going back down into the ocean like an enormous waterfall.

The sight overwhelmed Wilbur with emotions. His encounter in the magical tower had been nothing short of, well, magical. Over seven decades had flown by in the blink of an eye.
