"Of course, Senior."

"You're going to activate the meaning of darkness that you've learned later and absorb the dark energy around you as quickly as possible no matter what happens. He's trying to devour you, so we're going to turn the tables and devour him instead. Let's see who ends up winning."

Electricity flowed through Wilbur's body, and he regained control over it. Wilbur took one last look at the shrinking ball of dark energy and closed his eyes, muttering a spell as he activated the meaning of darkness and began to absorb the dark energy.

"Ha! Do you think you'll be able to devour me just like that?"

The ball of dark energy contracted even faster, and a wave of pressure closed in on Wilbur as if trying to crush him. Just then, the Light Gloves radiated a gray energy aura. It quickly covered Wilbur up, forming a defensive barrier.

The immense pressure vanished at once, and Wilbur heaved a sigh of relief as he began to mutter spells to absorb more dark energy. Yet just minutes later, Wilbur realized that the speed at which his body was absorbing the dark energy had multiplied dozens of times.

This surprised Wilbur greatly as he knew that there was no way he was capable of doing this on his own. His eyes flew open to the sight of the gray defensive shield, and the voice rang in his head once more, "Don't hesitate, or we're both going to die here! Hurry!"

Wilbur scrambled to close his eyes, rapidly absorbing the dark energy around him.

The dark energy in him began to grow, and eventually, the ball of energy seemed to realize this. It began to contract, but Wilbur's speed of absorbing the dark energy remained. Even at that rate, however, it was going to take at least two hours before the dark energy was completely absorbed.

Yet the ball of dark energy had sped up in its contraction, and it would barely take

a minute before Wilbur was completely crushed if this went on. Under such immense pressure, Wilbur knew he would be crushed the second the ball of energy touched his skin.

All that hard work would have gone to waste then.

But there was no better way out of this, and Wilbur repeated the senior's words in

his head as he gritted his teeth and continued absorbing the dark energy.

Seconds later, something shocking happened. Wilbur could clearly sense the speed of his body's absorption multiplying by a hundred thousand times. The rate kept increasing for a few seconds and quickly reached a few million times.

The ball of energy was quickly drained, and it was too late for the Dark Lord to escape by the time he realized it. In the end, the entire ball of dark energy was completely absorbed as the skies cleared up once more.noveldrama

White light appeared in front of Wilbur as he opened his eyes excitedly. "We did it, Senior! We absorbed all of the Dark Lord's dark energy!"

"Arghhhh! Oh no, I can't hold on for much longer. Let's make a deal, Wilbur Penn. You have to promise me."

"What is it, Senior?"

"I can't control all of this dark energy on my own, so I'm going to channel a tenth of it into your body just temporarily. Of course, you're free to use it however you like."
