"No buts. Don't waste my time, is it a yes or no?"

Wilbur did not know what the intentions of this evil god were but saving the earth had been his own wish. He gritted his teeth and said, "Alright. I agree!"

"That's all I needed to hear."

The next second, Wilbur felt a powerful wave of dark energy being channeled into his body. It was far more powerful than anything Wilbur had expected, and another wave of dark energy split out of Wilbur's body to form a human figure.

Following that, a handsome man appeared in front of Wilbur. He took in the look of pure agony on Wilbur's face and said at once, "I guess you can't take even a tenth of this dark energy. Let me help you out."

The man muttered a spell, and a black seal appeared in mid-air. The next second, the man inserted the seal into Wilbur's body.

The seal quickly absorbed all the dark energy in Wilbur's body, relieving him of a good amount of pressure and pain. Within a few minutes, all the pressure was gone as Wilbur returned to his normal state.

His chest heaved as he wiped the sweat off his brow. "Thanks."

The man smiled. "You don't need to thank me. You deserved it. Consider that a form of repayment from me to you. I've now sealed a tenth of the dark energy in your body, that of which you can only use ten percent with how powerful you are now. The seal will eventually disappear as you grow more powerful. I'll come back once you can wield all of the dark energy and take it away from you. How's that?"

"Yeah, that's great."

Wilbur nodded. The truth was that he wanted nothing more than for the man to take all of the dark energy in his body, but no cultivator wanted to be a weakling. Since he could use ten percent of that dark energy in his body, it would make an excellent source for him.noveldrama

That was why Wilbur had agreed to keep the dark energy in his body, and the man patted him on the shoulder. "That means we don't owe each other anything anymore, then. Keep working hard and be yourself."

The man turned to leave, and Wilbur stared at him for a while before shouting, "Hey, Senior! I forgot to ask what your name was!"

The man stopped in his tracks, turning to look at Wilbur with a smile. "I've been around so long that I've forgotten the name I had in the past. But I do like Dasha and gave myself a Dashan name during the few centuries I spent traveling around there. You can call me Kaiser Fern."

"Senior Kaiser, when will we see each other again?"

Kaiser smiled at Wilbur. "You don't have to know that. We'll cross paths when fate calls for it. Farewell."

Upon saying the words, Kaiser turned around and soared into the sky, disappearing from sight.
