Living With My Lady Boss

A wave of dark energy was released from the seal, flowing through Wilbur's body as he finally regained control over his spirit senses and body.

"Indeed. We're now melded into one body. You were about to die if I didn't help you."

"Thank you."

Wilbur hesitated for a moment but found himself saying the words mentally. He swam upward quickly, and a figure soared across his head the second he broke through the water's surface. Wilbur flicked the water off his face and looked up to see the woman flying toward the Night Demon under the control of a black tornado.

The next second, the Night Demon grabbed the woman by her neck.

"No!" Wilbur screamed.

Boom!

The woman's body exploded in a split second. No one could believe that she had died at the hands of her own son. Just then, a splash could be heard from the water as the man's corpse bobbed to the surface as well.

The Night Demon had killed both husband and wife in a matter of minutes. Wilbur could no longer take it, soaring into the sky and launching a blow toward the Night Demon.

The golden dragon appeared out of nowhere on top of the Night Demon's head, swallowing it whole into its body.

Boom!

The golden dragon exploded as a powerful wave of energy spread out. The Night Demon was blown to dust, but a wave of dark energy quickly gathered in the middle of the explosion to form a ball of energy.

The ball began to spin rapidly, absorbing the energy from the dark cloud.

"Is that..."

Wilbur frowned at the sight, snapping out of his stupor seconds later to rush over and throw a punch against the energy ball.

The energy ball rumbled furiously as black miasma surged out. It stuck to Wilbur like an adhesive, and Wilbur had to use a great deal of energy to yank his fist out.

Following that, Wilbur watched as the black energy ball shifted into the form of a shadowy man who shot out into the dark cloud in the sky.

The dark cloud began to shrink, and it only took a minute for the figure to absorb all of the cloud's dark energy. The figure then shot out, quickly approaching the village.noveldrama

Wilbur widened his eyes. The guy was going to destroy the village.

Wilbur chased after the man at once. Over in the village, the people were gathered in the square to watch what was happening on the water. They were so caught up that they barely registered the shadow descending from the sky, followed by Wilbur's attack.

The shadow landed in the village, and then melded itself into a villager's body. Just as Wilbur was about to bring his fist down, he saw that the person in front of him was the middle-aged man who had tried to save him just now.

They locked eyes, and Wilbur found himself unable to land the punch. The man stared at Wilbur in shock as well, asking, "Young man, w-what are you doing?"

Wilbur's gaze flashed coldly. "Drop the act, Night Demon. Show yourself."
