Wilbur attempted to channel the power of light in his body into the mirror before using the Light Gloves to absorb the surrounding energy. Within just ten seconds, the tower Wilbur was in began to rumble violently.

All of a sudden, a figure burst into Wilbur's room. No-Night glowered at Wilbur, shouting, "What do you think you're doing?"

Wilbur scrambled to stop at once, and the tower stopped rumbling as well. He stared at No-Night, asking in a nervous tone, "I was trying to see if I could wield the mirror..."

No-Night said, "Wilbur, you should know by now that this is a world forged out of energy aura. So no, you can't absorb the energy here or the whole mirror dimension will be destroyed. Even if that doesn't happen, the speed of time here might be affected as well."

No-Night shook his head as he spoke, staring at Wilbur solemnly. "I can't lose Jade anymore, not even for a single day."

"I understand, Senior No-Night. I promise not to absorb the energy here anymore."

"I hope you keep your word." No-Night left the tower after that.

Ten, twenty, then thirty years passed. Eventually, eighty years flew by in the blink of an eye. Wilbur had improved his control over the energy aura, dragon aura, and dark energy in his body to another level by then and could wield the bronze mirror well.

All he needed now was a chance to come by and he would be able to create a mirror dimension with ease. However, the speed of time in that mirror dimension would be the same as in the outside world.

Changing the speed of time was a tricky feat, something that Wilbur could not do just yet. He had twenty years left and decided to use them to break out of the seal of dark energy Senior Kaiser had put inside him.

Wilbur could only borrow ten percent of the dark energy, but this restriction was already reaching the end. As long as Wilbur broke through it, he would be able to utilize twenty percent of the dark energy.

Yes, twenty years should be enough to get that far.

Wilbur took a few deep breaths and closed his eyes. Through his internal vision, he could see the seal on the left side of his chest. There were ten small segments in the middle of the seal, and one of them was emitting a red glow.

Just then, a second segment was beginning to radiate a faint red glow as well. It looked like Wilbur was getting close to a breakthrough. He continued to channel his dragon aura into breaking the seal, which caused him to cough up blood every half a day.

Several days later, Wilbur would cough up blood every three days. A month later, he would cough up blood every two weeks. Three months later, he coughed up blood every month.

Following that, Wilbur cultivated consecutively for fifteen years. After spitting out a mouthful of blood once more, he looked down at the seal on the left side of his chest. There were now two segments of the seal on his chest that were glowing red.

Wilbur got up from the ground, delighted with himself. Just then, the Dark Lord's voice rang in Wilbur's head. 'Congratulations, Wilbur. You managed to break the seal, and my power's now ten percent stronger.'

Upon saying the words, the Dark Lord controlled Wilbur to raise his hand. He clenched Wilbur's hand into a fist, who immediately retaliated by shoving the Dark Lord's consciousness back down with a thought through his powerful will.
