Nora

Chapter 138

Chapter 138:.

Joel was using Happiness, a song by one of he and Tanya’s favorite singers, as his cell phone ringtone.

However, as he was about to pull out his cell phone, he saw Tanya pull out her own cell phone and answer a call.

It was then that he realized that Tanya was also using Happiness as her ringtone.

If so, did that mean that she, like him, couldn’t forget the other party either even after so many years?

But as soon as she started to indulge in her illusions, at the front, Tanya’s eyes lit up and she said excitedly, “Honey! So it was you who helped me!

“Of course, I’ll reward you – shall I give you a kiss? Or maybe, I give myself to you and sleep with you for a few nights?”

“Oh, don’t be shy! Here, I’ll give you a big kiss! Mwah~!”noveldrama

“…Dinner? No problem, of course! Text me the location!”

Tanya hung up after that. Then, she immediately got up, turned around and walked away excitedly.

After she left, Joel stepped out from behind the large pillar at the university gates. He stared in the direction in which she had walked away, his upturned eyes flickering dimly.

“Honey…” “I give myself to you…”…. “A big kiss…”…

The phrases made him uncomfortable all over. It was as if there was a time bomb in his body, about to explode.

He didn’t even know what he was doing, but without a second thought, the man, who had always been calm and self-disciplined, suddenly got into his car and followed her.

He was going to see… Where was she going!

Tanya quietly drove the jeep to the Prisma Club.

After parking, she looked up and gazed at the familiar place.

It was a club that the rich and prestigious often visited for fun, and it had been around for many years.

When she was still a child, it was the luggage her mother had brought with her when she married into a wealthy family. Hillary’s favorite thing was to bring her in for fun….

Because she couldn’t get in.

She didn’t have high social status and she didn’t have a VIP card. So, all she could do was stand at the door anxiously and wait for Hillary to remember she was there.

Later, she stopped coming.

As I looked around the place, inside the Prism Club, Hillary was also casually there for dinner. She had already parked her car and was about to enter the main room.

When she turned her head and noticed Tanya, she immediately bit her lip.

To think that Tanya had followed her here – was he chasing her or what?

She narrowed her eyes and motioned for the lobby attendant to come over. Then he pointed Tanya outside and said, “Don’t let that woman in!”

The lobby attendant looked at Hillary and replied, “Mrs. Jones, I have no right to refuse you entry if you are a legitimate customer.”

Seeing that her words had no effect on the lobby attendant, an expression of displeasure appeared on her countenance and she said, “You may not care about my identity as Ms. Jones, but what about my identity as Ms. Smith?”

The lobby attendant was taken aback.

Hillary looked down and said, “Although Joel and I are not yet married, I have already moved into the Smith residence. I should know, shouldn’t I?”

The lobby attendant frowned.

A smiling Hillary said, “Or maybe you’re not afraid of Mrs. Smith either. In that case, what about Joel?”.

The lobby attendant was stunned.

Hillary pointed to the area outside and said, “That woman is a garden dance teacher who injured Joel’s daughter and mine. She followed me here because she wants to apologize. I don’t want to see her, and I don’t think Joel wants to either, do you understand?”

The lobby attendant frowned.

Although the Prism Club feared no one, he had to show Joel some respect. So, he nodded and said, “Okay, Mrs. Jones.”

Resentment welled up in Hillary when she heard the words “Mrs. Jones.”

This was all Mia’s fault. If she had been a boy, she would have married Joel a long time ago. Speaking of which, it was all because Tanya’s womb was so useless as to give birth to a little girl instead!

She took a deep breath and entered a private room.

In the doorway.

Tanya was about to enter when someone stopped her.

“Excuse me, Miss, do you have an appointment?”

The patrons of the Prism Club were all wealthy or prestigious. The diners here were guests who had their VIP cards, like Hillary, or people of high social status, like Justin or Joel. Although they had not applied for VIP cards, they were tacitly recognized as gold card VIPs. There was also a latter type of client-guests of those mentioned.

Tanya replied, “Yes, the room number is…”.

But before she could finish, the lobby attendant’s voice reached her.

“I’m sorry, miss, but I can’t let you in.”

Tanya, “?”

The polite lobby attendant said apologetically, “Mrs. Jones just said that Mr. Smith has refused to let you in.”

Mrs. Jones and Mr. Smith….

Tanya felt a pain in her heart at the mention of the names.

She narrowed her eyes and said, “I’m not here for them. I have an appointment with someone else here.”

The lobby attendant sighed and said, “By rights, we shouldn’t refuse you entry, Miss, but Mrs. Jones has said that Mr. Smith has instructed that you are not to be allowed anywhere she is. If I let her in, I’ll end up offending Mr. Smith…”

The lobby attendant was not a social climber, but for the sake of his own livelihood, he could only say, “How about this, is it okay if I have someone pull up a chair for you and let you wait outside?”

Tanya narrowed her eyes and her chest tightened.

She could call Nora and ask him to come out and get her, of course, but if it really was Joel’s order, wouldn’t that mean that Nora would end up offending him because of her?

Even though he’d resolved the issue at the daycare for her, Tanya wasn’t about to keep giving others trouble.

She clenched her fists, utterly humiliated.

It had been many years since she had been able to join the club. Later, it was Joel who had taken her inside.

Many years later, she still couldn’t get into the club, but she no longer had Joel with her.

Grief filled her heart, but she could only lower her head and smile wryly as she said, “No, it’s okay. I’ll go.”

She would have to leave the deal for another day.

As he turned to leave, he happened to see another car pull into the driveway. Joel opened the driver’s seat door and got out.

Tanya stopped in her tracks.

Then he immediately sketched a wry smile. No wonder they wouldn’t let her in….

She lowered her head and looked straight ahead as if she didn’t see Joel. She walked past him to the side and said to the valet, “Please bring my car around, thank you.”

“Yes, ma’am.”

Although Joel didn’t look at Tanya, he watched her out of the corner of his eye the whole time.

Seeing her leave, he was relieved.

However, since she was already here, he decided to go into the lobby. Just as he wondered why he hadn’t met his darling for dinner, the lobby attendant came up and said, “You’re really here, Mr. Smith! On your instructions, we have prevented that young lady from entering. Rest assured that we will not allow her to disturb you.”
