Chapter 502
Chapter 502:

The moment the heavy door swung shut, Andres’ smile disappeared completely.
“Interesting,” he muttered, his expression now unreadable. He turned to his right-hand man. “Inform Amor that Scarlet Snake will arrive in ten minutes.”
“Yes, sir.” The response was immediate, and the man quickly slipped away to deliver the message.
Once the door closed, silence filled the room.
Allison pressed a hidden button, and a section of the wall slid back to reveal an intricate computer system. She barely had time to remove her mask before Amya rushed over from the shadows.
“Boss!”
Amya’s eyes were red as she grabbed Allison’s arm, scanning her from head to toe for any sign of injury. Once she was sure Allison was safe, she let out a shaky breath, her relief palpable. With a soft “clink,” a small knife fell from Amya’s trembling hand as she tried to catch her breath.
“If you hadn’t come back, I almost…” Amya’s voice faltered. Allison gave her shoulder a reassuring pat. “I’m fine, don’t worry.” She then stepped over to the computer system, pressing a button to eject a glowing blue chip from the console.
As the chip emerged, the holographic screens faded, and the monitors went dark, leaving the room bathed in shadows, save for a dim yellow light.
Placing the chip in Amya’s hands, Allison said, “Take this core chip and leave immediately.”
Allison always planned carefully for contingencies. Regardless of how the gambling event turned out, she knew Fay would try to pull some tricks. It was wiser to keep the chip in a safer location.
For a moment, Amya looked uncertain. “Now? But… what about you? Why don’t we leave together?”
Allison shook her head. “I have to attend the gambling match. You should go first. I’ll meet you once things have settled down.”
Amya’s brow furrowed with concern, knowing the dangers that came with high-stakes gambling in Muisvedo.
“Maybe we should just walk away from all of this, go somewhere else, and avoid these people,” she suggested, her eyes growing misty.noveldrama
The chip felt unexpectedly heavy in Amya’s hands, its importance pressing down on her.
“Relax, I’ve got everything covered,” Allison reassured her again. “Just keep the chip safe.”
“Alright.”
Amya reluctantly gave in, fully aware of Allison’s unshakable resolve. When Allison made up her mind, convincing her otherwise was nearly impossible.
Amya opened her mouth to speak, but the words caught in her throat. After a brief moment of hesitation, she settled on a determined nod. “I’ll guard this with my life. Nothing will happen to it, I promise.”
Allison returned the nod, her voice soft but assured. “I know you won’t let me down.”
Amya took a steadying breath and carefully secured the chip inside a sturdy metal case. Following Allison’s precise instructions, she slipped through a hidden passage in the wall, disappearing into the shadows of the narrow escape route.
