Secrets Of The Neglected Wife

Chapter 503

Chapter 503:

Once Amya was safely on her way, Allison moved with purpose toward a small side room to change, mentally preparing herself for the gamble ahead.

In the dim light of the casino, a woman in a sleek black miniskirt leaned against the table, resting her chin on one hand. Her hair flared in bold red curls, and her lips were painted a deep, striking crimson. She was mesmerizing—like a deadly poppy, beautiful yet perilous.

“Ms. Prescott,” Fay stammered, clutching her injured arm, “that woman, Scarlet Snake… she’s refusing to hand over the apartment.”

She stumbled closer, but before she could reach Amor, a tall, muscular bodyguard stepped forward, blocking her path. Her words trailed off under his steely gaze.

Amor didn’t even glance her way. “Let’s keep the mood, shall we?” she murmured, her voice smooth as silk. “We’ll talk after I finish my game.”

With a lazy smile, Amor took a glass from a man with a buzz cut, downed the drink in one gulp, and then picked up a bowling ball. She tossed it down the lane with practiced ease. The ball rolled straight, crashing perfectly into the center pin. Every pin toppled with a satisfying crack.

Fay’s face lit up, trying to flatter her. “Ms. Prescott, as amazing as al—”

A piercing scream cut her off. “Help me! Please, someone help!” Fay’s ingratiating smile froze as she turned toward the end of the lane.

Among the fallen pins, a man’s bloodied face appeared. His body was somehow embedded in the floor, his head sticking out alongside the balls. Blood spattered the lane, mingling with his desperate pleas.

“Ms. Prescott,” the man choked, looking up at the red-haired woman. “I swear—I didn’t let him go! That prisoner escaped during transport. I… I didn’t mean for it to happen!”

He coughed, each word punctuated with fresh spurts of blood. Fay felt her stomach twist as she realized the man was still alive, trapped in the bowling lane.

Amor sat down, chin propped on her hand, and watched him with mild interest.

“Ark, I trusted you so much and assigned many people to help you,” she said, her voice cool and unfeeling. “Yet you let my goods escape. Not to mention you were too weak to protect your territory and let others take it over. You’ve cost me money and resources! Tell me, what good are you?”noveldrama

Her smile sharpened. “You’re lucky they didn’t find me, otherwise…” She threw another ball, this one smashing directly into Ark’s face.

Bang!

He screamed as his face split open, blood pooling swiftly across the lane. Amor only chuckled, glancing at the men behind her. “Keep Ark company, won’t you? Make a game of it.”

“Yes, ma’am,” they replied, picking up bowling balls and hurling them with deadly precision.

Ark’s cries grew weaker, muffled by the rhythmic thuds of the heavy balls.

With a sigh, Amor wiped her hands and turned back to Fay, raising an eyebrow. “So, you’re injured—and still no results?” Fay’s legs nearly buckled under the intensity of Amor’s gaze. She thought of Ark and immediately dropped to her knees.
