Chapter 1211
Chapter 1211:
“Barry, perfect timing. She’s with Milford,” Keaton motioned toward Presley.
“No wonder the barrage of questions earlier,” Barry remarked, becoming cautious and mindful of his commitment to conceal Milford’s identity.
Presley said, “Milford is the brother of an old friend of mine. You’re familiar with Zola Murray, the adopted daughter of the Dawson family, aren’t you?”
Keaton, not part of the social elite, was nonetheless aware of Zola’s unfortunate fate after becoming a public figure. Barry seemed to recognize Zola’s name too.
“Zola is Bryan’s sworn enemy, unlikely Bryan has good intentions in seeking Milford,” Presley added.
Barry’s expression turned grave upon hearing this. He subconsciously looked at Keaton.
He was a foreman with a substantial annual salary. Keaton, in good years, could earn between two to three million. They were successful in their fields but paled in comparison to Bryan.
It was clear they would risk Bryan’s wrath by refusing to cooperate. After considering the situation, Keaton and Barry found themselves in a tough spot.
Presley suggested, “Keaton, you can tell Mr. Dawson that Milford is employed at Mr. Navarro’s site. Then… Mr. Navarro, perhaps you could transfer Milford to my company. I’ll give him a job and help him hide. If questioned by Mr. Canon’s people, you can claim that Milford has resigned.”
Presley looked expectantly at Keaton and Barry.
Keaton seemed encouraged by the idea, slapping his thigh in agreement before looking to Barry for approval.

Barry hesitated, then responded, “I need Milford’s consent first.”noveldrama
“Then seek his agreement. However, Keaton needs to tell Mr. Dawson about Milford’s whereabouts now,” Presley said, not pressing further.
Keaton promptly agreed, leaving to inform Raymond about Milford. Barry grabbed his briefcase, lit a cigarette, and strutted out. Though only twenty-eight, he appeared seasoned, more like a man in his forties.
Presley hurried to catch up with Barry and handed him a business card. “You can pass this to Milford. If he’s interested, he can contact me. I’m willing to help because of his sister, Zola.”
“Okay, thank you,” Barry replied.
After accepting the card and expressing his gratitude, Barry quickly drove to the construction site in search of Milford.
Milford had anticipated being found. He was not surprised that Barry and the others would expose his whereabouts. After all, not everyone could offend Bryan.
“The woman I met at the entrance of the club knows my sister and wants to offer me a job?” Milford questioned in disbelief.
“Here’s her card,” Barry replied, presenting the card. “Presley Deleon. A strange name.”
The card identified her as the executive director of the Deleon Group.
“The Deleon Group?” Milford asked, puzzled. He was familiar with the corporate world only through news about the EB Group and the Apex Group. He knew it was the Deleon Group that had publicly challenged the EB Group recently.
